Christmas 2018 etc.

Merry Christmas!  We have collected nativity scenes through the years until we no longer have any more room to put them.  Here are a few of them.

This is one of my favorites.  It sits on a file cabinet for my music next to the piano.

Our granddaughter, Gracie's first 6th grade band concert!  I am delighted to have her play the flute that I use to play.

I am slow but finally got this table runner finished out of left over music material!

This is the material I used on the back plus one of the strips on the front.

I finally went to Goodwill for a little while since we have moved.  I have a pie plate like this and love it so spied this one and had to have it too.  The cup I bought to make a pincushion with it.  It is on my many want to do things someday!

Would you tell me what the name of this plant is and how to take care of it?

And Coco has the right idea!  Rest and relax!  Thank you for visiting my blog!  I really enjoy comments if you care to leave one.  Have yourself a nice Christmas season remembering the real reason for the holiday is to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

You did such a beautiful job quilting that runner and I’m sure you will enjoy it for years to come. I love nativity scenes to and have several throughout our house. How sweet that your granddaughter is playing your flute. What a wonderful thing for her to have. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas too my friend. Many blessings always, Betsy

Hello Nancy. Your table runner looks wonderful. That is a lovely photo of your grandaughter Gracie. I have a cup almost identical to the one you got from Goodwill. I hope you have a lovely festive season too Nancy.

Hi Nancy, Your table runner is lovely and I really like your Nativity sets. About the plant you have, well, I have a small one that looks quite a bit like it and it has a tag that identifies it as a Buddhist Pine. Maybe google that name and see if you think they look alike. Sometimes the name tags get switched.
Have a wonderful Christmas.

How exciting for Gracie, and you! I love school concerts, especially at Christmas. I had no idea what that plant was but it looked like some sort of palm, so I looked it up and found this - https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/parlor-palm/parlor-palm-houseplants.htm - hope that helps! Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas!

How lovely that Gracie plays your flute. Our two granddaughters are playing in middle school orchestra. They are both playing violin, I wish we lived closer so that I could have heard their Christmas program :)
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas.

Hi Connie, I love violin music! One grandson played violin for awhile but switched to guitar. Perhaps one of my great grandchildren will play violin! We are blessed to live near some of our grandchildren and the two great grandchildren! Nancy

Hi Leigh, Thanks! I do hope her interest in playing in band continues! I played in band back in high school and it was so much fun. Merry Christmas! Nancy

Your granddaughter is gorgeous, Nancy! I think that plant is some sort of a palm, I believe they like bright light and to dry out in between waterings. Merry Christmas to you, and thank you for all your visits and sweet comments all year long! Xo
