Brrrr Oct. 22

I am still picking a few raspberries and strawberries but it has gotten cold here so that will soon stop.  It has been wonderful enjoying them fresh from the garden.  No frost yet.  Hope it holds off awhile longer.

I bought a pie crust and made hubby a raspberry pie from berries gifted to me.

More of our breakfast egg, sausage, cheese "lumps" made up and frozen ready to warm for breakfast!  We really like these.

Finally got fall decorations up!  The next two pictures are of the mantle.  Nothing new added this year to it.

Guess I need to get busy and take more pictures!  Where does every one store their things they take down to put the seasonal decorations up?  Stay warm and cozy and thanks for visiting!  Nancy

Your mantel decorations look nice. About the storage problem... if your bed has space underneath to roll one or two of those shallow under-the-bed plastic containers they work fine and hold a lot.

Hi Granny Marigold, Thanks! My bed has canning jars in plastic containers under it! No more room. LOL Nancy

Pretty decorations Nancy. I put the regular decorations in the box I store seasonal decorations in. When it's time to take them down, the old ones are right there in the box.
Blessings,
Betsy

Storage space...difficult unless one has a huge house. I use the bottom of my wardrobe and the garden shed!

Your breakfast 'lumps' look tasty. I love your decorations - very fall and festive

I'm lucky to have a ton of storage space, between the garage, the sheds, and the lower level. I store all my seasonal decor on shelving that lines the garage walls.

Awe..what sweet "fall" you have on your mantle. Now I need that recipe for those breakfast lumps. That looks so good and different.Hope you are doing well. Weather is nice here in the mornings...cool actually in which I love. But by lunch the temp creeps back up. But it's actually been under 80 degrees today! YAY! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Hi Betsy, Thank you for that storage suggestion. That is a good idea. Nancy

Hi Elizabethd, I wish I had a garden shed! We do have a garage though. Thanks for commenting. Nancy

Hi Cheryl, Thank you. I guess I should think of a better name than lumps to call my breakfast! They are good! Nancy

Hi Debbie - Mountain Mama, You are so lucky to have all that space! We do have some shelves stuffed full in the garage! Nancy

Hi Creations by Cindy, Thanks. Our 80 degree days are gone till next year now! My lumps are really suppose to go in burritos but I have to eat gluten free and we would just as soon have them with a slice of toast. Nancy

Hi Nancy :) That raspberry pies sounds very good to me right now! We are lucky, we have a big basement in this rental so everything seasonal goes in boxes down there...but when we buy our home we are downsizing big time...we'll have to build a good shed for things like that!

Hi Rain, Thanks. We have downsized but it is hard to keep in mind to downsize Christmas also and not get carried away! Nancy

Those breakfast lumps really look tasty. It amazes me that you grow and harvest enough berries to enjoy eating. I really want to plant a few raspberry plants. Surely I can find room for two or three in the garden. Your fall decorations are pretty. I don't have a lot decorations to store. More Christmas stuff and we store it in boxes in Poppy's shop.

Hi Henny Penny, Thanks. We do really enjoy our few strawberries and raspberries. You ought to give it a try! Nancy

Hi Nancy! Good question (about the storage). Mine sat on the floor of my study all year. Yikes!

Hi Pom Pom, LOL That is funny but at least it was handy! Some things are just more important. Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
