House walk through

The day has finally arrived!  We did our house walk through!  We close on the 30th of Dec. and the movers will be coming January 2.  Yippee!!  We are thankful that God has opened the doors for us to do this.

Condo living will be different but we have our own house with a little courtyard between the houses.

The temperature was zero degrees when we left yesterday morning so I am sure with that kind of weather we will enjoy the fireplace!

The master bath.  Two sinks and another sink in the guest bath!  Where were all these sinks when we were bringing up four kids with one bathroom!

I am going to love that refrigerator after this apartment living!  I have had a small kitchen for years.  I turned around and everything was right there.  I may get lost in this one!

We were happy to have our son Scott and our granddaughter Emily come for a few days visit from VA.  This was taken at lunch time at Chili's.  I do love their potato soup and salad!

I have not crocheted much.  Made these scarves and doll scarves to match for Gracie and Cali.

Couldn't resist buying this Christmas Cactus.  I have been wanting one!

Sorry!  I just had to post a picture of Coco.  She looks so cuddly and comfy there!  I hope that all of you have a wonderful Christmas!  Thank you for all the past comments you have posted!

Catch Up!

I have been neglecting to post on my blog!  Too tired or too busy it seems.  We had a couple birthdays!  This is Cali, our youngest grandchild celebrating her 7th birthday!

This is the fireplace in the new house.

Right in the middle!  2810 will be our new address.  It was exciting for me to see these go up.

Cali was a Cupcake for Halloween!

Cali and Gracie ready to head out trick-or-treating!  It was a beautiful night with no rain and no snow!

Our new kitchen.  I think the refrigerator and stove will go in this week.  The space on the right hand side is where the electronic piano with a shelf above it will go for a TV.  We could get bar stools but for now, I don't think I want them.

Kitchen sink.  There is a little design in the counter which doesn't show up here very well.

Master bedroom closet.  I will have to buy more clothes to fill it up.  More likely I will store my material and craft supplies in here!

Den carpet.  We have this carpet in the den, two bedrooms and the hallway going to the bedrooms.

This is the color of the hardwood floors.

I had a birthday too.  Gracie and Cali will assist me in blowing out the candles.

My beautiful birthday cake!!!!

The landscaping was put in.  I think a couple of the bushes are Hydrangeas and the builder thought the tree in the left hand corner was an ornamental crab apple.  He didn't know much about what kind of bushes they were as the landscaper did it.

Whew!  If you hung in there this is the last one!  Thanks for visiting!

Sure wish my Mom would stop taking pictures of me!  I have to be patient with her because she is elderly!

Cement poured in the driveway!

Nice to see the brick is on!

Ceramic tile by the front door.  Grout has to be put in yet.

Michael had a birthday!!

Birthdays are more fun with kids!!

Our kitchen cabinets stored in the garage waiting to be put up.

My egg lady's chickens are laying again so I was able to get these pretty, yummy eggs!

Beautiful rose from my sweet husband!  I am so lucky!

I cut these flannel squares out and sewed together in rows for a lap quilt before we moved.  By working away at it a little at a time I finally got the rows sewed together.  It will have to wait till we move to get finished so that I will have more room and hopefully more energy to work.  Thanks for visiting!

House, Flowers, Others

A  lot of the siding is on the house now.  The little part in the front under the windows will be brick.  This is just not progressing fast enough to suit me!!!!

These flowers in the back of the apartment complex were looking so pretty one day with the sun shining through! Just had to take a picture!

Our friends from Pt. Huron, Michigan stopped by yesterday.  It was wonderful to see them again and visit.

I set up the card table in the kitchen and Bob hauled my heavy machine out for me.  Now when I get some energy and time I can sew some seams together.  I miss being productive.

It was dreary and chilly this morning and Coco has the right idea!  I think I will take that spot in a few minutes!  Thanks for visiting!

Thankful for Progress

The roof is all on now!  We drove down on Saturday but forgot our camera!  Next will be drywalling the inside and putting the siding on.  Can't wait to get in!!

The fireplace will be nice!

My new boots to walk Coco when it is raining and to work in the courtyard when it is wet!

Coco is listening to Bob making noises in the kitchen and wondering if he might be dropping something accidentally on the floor she can eat!

What is this world coming to!!  I bought Bob an apple pie.  He said it is good too.  I could count on my one hand all the times I have bought a pie in my life!!!!

House and Flowers

We were surprised at the progress made on our house!

Sue brought me beautiful flowers and some  candy.  I am trying to only eat one candy a day!  Not always succeeding!   They are so yummy!

This is September.  I still have some color left on my plants on the patio!

There are a few other people here that like plants also!  Aren't these beautiful!!

My favorite is this upper balcony one!!  Even a hummingbird feeder hanging.  She has the woods right behind her so I am surprised she gets enough light.  I wonder if she goes out there and pretends she is in a treehouse!  How neat is that!  I would like to meet her!  Thanks for reading!!

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
