Woe is me!

I was anxious to get the soil in my strawberry bed so Sue helped us get it in.  It was so cold I wore my ear muffs!  WOE IS ME!

The snow is falling!  WOE IS ME!!!!!!

This is my strawberry bed.  I read that strawberries can get by with less sunshine but now I think I should probably move it over by my cold frame so that it would get a little more sun!  That means we have to dig the dirt all out and move it.  Why don't I think ahead!!!!!!  I ordered my strawberries and the tentative shipping date is March 16th!  This is March 15th.  I think maybe I should call them.  It doesn't look like too good of planting weather!  WOE IS ME!

I have planted a few seeds of greens in my cold frame.  Now I don't want to walk out in the snow to see if anything has germinated.  WOE IS ME!

My miniature rose bush is dying!  Did I water too much or too little?  WOE IS ME!

We traveled to New Jersey for my nephew's funeral.  We had planned to leave to come home Tuesday morning but with the snowstorm predicted out there we left Monday right after the funeral.  Got through the PA mountains before the snow and thank the Lord the roads were pretty good all the way home.  This picture are things I did to occupy myself while riding!  Hopefully we will all be gardening and enjoying the sunshine soon!  Thanks for visiting!

I smiled at your WOE IS ME post. I'm guessing most of your snow will be gone by the weekend? We can hope anyway. You were ambitious to plant so early. It has finally warmed to the upper 40's and 50's here. I think I'll even be able to take my walk outside today if the rain holds off long enough. I'm glad your trip was a safe one and you got lots of lovely knitting done. Have a lovely afternoon my friend and stay warm. :-)
Blessings,
Betsy

Hi Betsy, I am glad that you got a smile out of it! Not necessarily ambitiou but impatient! Hard to stay warm when it is cold outdoors but I think your right in that it will warm up soon! Nancy

I tell you, sometimes, things just don't seem to go our way - we all have those days! Hopefully it's not too much of a bother to move the strawberry bed once you set your mind to it - and perhaps when one of your children drops by for a freshly baked pie?? :) P.S. I'm sorry to hear about your nephew - XO

Hi Margaret, I am being kind of lazy thinking of moving that strawberry bed but what must be done, must be done! Thanks for the encouragement! Nancy

DH finished my raised bed and we carried it to the place we want it. IF it stops raining long enough we'll go get pick-up load of garden mix soil and fill it. I'm not sure why I want to get this done because we
( like you) are NOT having anything close to Spring weather.

I have no luck keeping miniature roses alive. Every one has died. Yet I have a hard time resisting them. They are so dainty.

Hi Granny Marigold, It is encouraging to read that others have no luck with miniature roses either! Maybe my thumb is not so brown after all! LOL Good luck on your garden bed. Hopefully it will get warmer soon for both of us. Nancy

This is a cute post. I think there are plenty of us saying "WOE IS ME" these days. Will spring ever come back, and stay! I've never had any luck with miniature roses either.

Hi Henny Penny, I am feeling better about my miniature rose since so many others have had no luck with them. I am tired of winter as you all are! Nancy

Goodness! It seems Winter just doesn't want to let go this year does it? I, on the other hand, am sweltering in 93 degree weather in Arizona at the moment. That isn't really very comfortable either. Too hot to go outside, no shade at the pool. Looking forward to getting back by the coast where it will be a little cooler. I hope things warm up for you soon and you and get those strawberry plants happily nestles wherever you finally decide to place them.

Hi Gloriade, I do remember how hot it started to get when we went to AZ and couldn't wait to get back home. Why can't there be a happy medium all over! Nancy

It seems like Spring will never get here even though the calendar says today is the first day!
Hope your snow is gone soon!

Hi Cat Lover, Welcome to my blog! I am a dog lover. Kitties are pretty cute though! I certainly am with you on hopping spring weather will soon be nice! Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
