I harvested more spinach and lettuce. 5/8 oz. I think. I am still learning how to use my scale and think last week was 32 grams instead of oz. I will get it right yet!! Sure love having my own spinach and need to get more planted.
My strawberry plants came in the mail. It was raining but I wanted to get them in the ground so went out and planted them in the rain. My neighbors probably think I am crazy for sure!
You will never guess what this is! An old piece of Kale from last year. Coco had pulled it out and was trying to eat it. You would think we never feed her a thing!
Can you see it! Can you see it! A row of little radishes growing! Hurry, hurry, hurry and grow!
I received two Butterfly starts the same day I received the strawberry plants. We planted them the next day between the rains. There is a little bit of green on the bottom. It will probably take forever!
This is a start on enlarging the fountain area!
The raspberries got a little bit of compost and mulched!
I bought 12 Stonehead cabbage plants today. I hope I can get them in the ground tomorrow!!!
Also bought these Yukon Gold potatoes and hope to get them cut up into eyes.
This one is for my cousin Karen!!!! I caged my rooster to keep him away from the chickens in the following picture!! LOL
Bob doesn't mind tending these chickens at all Karen!!! :}

I wondered about your "32 oz." of spinach....that's two whole pounds! I don't think I've ever picked that much all at once, LOL! I'd chain that rooster to a post. Those ceramic roosters are the worst kind ;-) My radishes are up too, but I think I'm still a week or two away from getting even a few small spinach and lettuce leaves.
we gardeners can look a little crazy to our neighbors sometimes!
My raspberries have all leafed out this week. I am so excited and can't wait for them!
Your harvest looks a bit like mine!
Hi Annie*s Granny, Yep, I will conquer that scale yet!! lol I still need to plant more spinach and radishes to follow these! I can't seem to get enough done!! Glad to have you visit! Nancy
Hi Shawn Ann, It sure makes us wish we could hurry our raspberry harvest along!! And other things! lol And why does everything need to be done at once! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
If we did not garden in the rain frequently, we would never garden in the rainy pacific northwest! LOL! I DID see your radishes. Woot!
I saw your radishes...Had to enlarge the picture though LOL! I love yukon gold potatoes and they are so expensive...Oh they will taste great. Glad you got that rooster caged lol!

I remember one year planting spinach by flashlight in the drizzle. We do such crazy things when we have to.
Love the photo of you planting in your raingear! Your garden excitement is inspiring and contagious to me! I love planting radishes more from the (almost) instant gratification of seeing them pop up so fast, than actually eating them. That's a good place for that rooster!!!
It took me a while to learn my scale too. My husband had to show me how I could use a bowl and pre-weigh the bowl so it wouldn't add to the vegetable weight, and that made it a lot easier to weigh things like cherry tomatoes and such! Have a good day today!
Looks like you really enjoy your garden. Hope to do a little this year, but must get rid of the weeds first. That old rooster should be happy in that beautiful blue bird cage. If you get too much rain, send it to Texas.
Have fun.

Once again, your harvest looks so good! I hope your strawberries flourish! Butterfly bush is so so pretty and great for butterflies. I am sure your will enjoy its new spot to live. I think you raspberries are going to be quiet happy too with all that great compost and mulch!
Hi, Nancy! Looks like your spinach is doing great. I planted spinach on Saturday, but I'm not sure it is doing so well. I hope your strawberry plants do good. Strawberries are my most favorite thing to grow. :) I love your little radish sprouts! I just planted radishes today. I love chicken and rooster statues. So smart to keep that rooster away from the mama hen and her baby. :)
Hope you are having a great week.
:)Vicki
Hi kitsapFG, I never thought about you planting in the pacific northwest and all the rain that you get! Do you have raingear to wear? Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Hi Polka Dot, I do hope my radishes grow fast and I need to get some more started! I hope my rooster does not chase my grandkids now! lol Thanks for stopping by! Nancy
Hi Daphne, I guess you have me beat! I don't think I have ever planted by flashlight although I probably do crazy things when it comes to gardening! Glad you could visit! Nancy
Hi Lisa, I love to eat radishes in my salads. They do grow fast hopefully and I need to get more started. I'll keep trying on my scale! Thanks for taking time to visit! Nancy
Hi Audrey, Yes, I do enjoy the garden. I just wish we would get lots of in between weather to be out there! Wishful thinking! I will be happy to send you some of my rain! Thanks for stopping by! Nancy
Hi emilysincerely, Thanks. I hope my strawberries do grow but we will have to buy more for the freezer. Hoping to get a few from these for just eating. We have been lucky in past years to harvest quite a few raspberry's so hoping again this year! Glad you could visit! Nancy
Hi Vicki, Thanks. I hope your spinach does well for you. Enjoying mine and need to get more planted! I am hoping to get strawberries to eat from our patch but will still have to buy some for the freezer. Need to plant more radishes too along with the spinach! Thanks for visiting me! Nancy

Now that's the kind of chickens I have. I must tell you, I am drooling over your cage. I have a fetish for old bird cages and it's a beaut! My spinach and radishes are just coming up. Can't wait till I start getting goodies from the garden. YUM! You've got alot accomplished. Good for you!

Jann
Could not see where to follow you.

Hi Jan, Thank you for visiting! I got that old cage at an antique shop in AZ. Looks like on your blog that you have a lot of neat things! Soon all of our gardens will be producing! (hopefully) I would love to have followers but still have not figured out how to do this yet. I am so non tech! Hope you will visit again! Nancy
I just sent you an email with directions on adding followers to your blog. If you need any more help, just holler!
What wonderful pictures. We sure enjoy our strawberries.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi Cheryl, Thank you. I sure do hope my strawberries do well. We have had a lot of rain but they are in a raised bed. Hoping! Glad you could visit! Nancy
Hi Nancy! You are a determined gardener! You will reap much! You will be amazed at the butterfly bush one day! They seem to grow slow at first, then before you know it you'll have a big bush! Keep up the good work! Blessings from Bama!
Hi Bama Girl, Thanks for the encouragement! If the weather doesn't start co-operating I am not sure how much I will reap! One can always hope! Thanks for visiting. Come again! Nancy
Sounds like you've been quite the busy lady! You have quite a garden! I do like the cage...love the color!!
Mary Alice
I chateau chic, Thanks for visiting! I do love the cage too and bought it at an antique store in AZ. Come again! Nancy
This is the first year I have not started flats of Spinich in the greenhouse to eat--I think I'm in a funk from the weather!
I bought strawberries weeks ago to put in one of the raised beds, since they are still pretty much frozen solid--that's not done either! I love planting in the rain!
