Pie, Rose, Game, Littles & Cold!

Raspberry pie using the raspberries "wonderful gardener" picked last summer".  I guess if he is willing to pick them I need to make the pie!!!

I told "wonderful gardener" that I liked to be woo-ed!  He brought me this pretty pink rose and said it was to woo me!!  So I guess I can consider myself woo-ed!!!!  LOL

Let one of my students play this game today at the end of the lesson.  Match the letters to the notes after I spread them out and put the snowmen together!!  I set the timer!

The "littles" were over yesterday and wanted to go out on the deck and shovel snow.  More power to them!!!  I gave them a shovel and a broom.  This is Gracie working away!

And this is four year old Cali with the broom!

I am under the quilt taking my "rest" trying to stay warm.  What you don't see is another little quilt under that one, an afghan over my lower legs and feet and a shawl draped over me!  Coco is my little heater and we have the thermostat set at 73!!!!  Where is spring anyway?????????

LOL, Nancy! I have my thermostat set at 72, and I still have to wear thermal underwear, sweat pants, long sleeved shirt and sweater. Sometimes I even need a sweatshirt over all of that! I agree, spring needs to come SOON!

Hi Annie*s Granny, This is the worst winter that I can remember. It seems to go on forever! I had two sweatshirts on under that too! Hope you don't freeze too! Nancy

Oh yum raspberry pie. In previous years I've had strawberries in the freezer and made strawberry pie, but I've never had enough for a raspberry one.

Hi Daphne, We love strawberries too but I don't grow enough to use for a
pie. We get a few to eat and buy the rest and use them for a fruit when we eat lunch with a sandwich. On the other hand, so far our raspberries have done well! Nancy

Hi Nancy! That pie looks yummy! Maybe this year I won't eat all of the raspberries before I have the chance to freeze some! Your gardener is so romantic! That is so cute, the littles shoveling snow! Good for them too! It is so hard to stay warm with such cold temps! We've been having some teens at night! I'm not used to that at all! Spring must get here soon! Blessings from Bama!

Isn't it wonderful to 'taste' summer in the middle of winter! We don't grow raspberries here, but do grow blackberries and that's our 'summertime' taste. You have a very nice husband, and great! grandchildren who want to help you so. We're experiencing 15-20 below temps in SC right now, and I agree, even one blanket is not enough this winter! And we don't have the snow on the ground like ya'll..... wish we had just a little though! Have a good day and stay warm!!!

Hi Felecia, Yes, spring must get here soon! Good luck on not eating your raspberries off the branch! Hope you get enough to freeze. They are so tasty in the winter! Nancy

Hi Lisa, It seems like almost everywhere is experiencing cold weather! Maybe I could send a little of our snow your way! Enjoy your blackberries! Nancy

If you hadn't have told us you were under there, never would have known.Looks so cosy. We are sweltering in upper 30's and 40's celcius. I could cope with 25c permanently I reckon, but it won't happen. :)
