I made chicken pot pie.  Yum.  One of my favorite meals!

Cranberry bread, one of Bob's favorites!  I had enough cranberries in the freezer to make this batch.  That's all now until next Christmas!!

Baked bread one day.  It has some wholewheat flour and some white flour in it.

I am using up yarn and replenishing my dish cloth supply.

Don't you just love this banner a blogger friend sent me to use for Valentine's Day!  I don't get things made like this and just love it.  She is very creative and talented!  Do you decorate for Valentine's Day??

These Christmas runners were cut out before Christmas so I am trying to get them finished up.  I have to do the batting, backing, binding, and machine quilt them yet.  Never too early to start getting ready for next Christmas!

Chicken pot pie is one of our favorites too. Your's looks really good, so do the breads. I do love that banner. I never think to decorate for anything except Christmas. Seems like I never get anything done.

It seems I have boxes of decorations for every occasion ever invented! So yes, I decorate for Valentine's Day.
I'm impressed.... you're working on next Christmas runners ( and they are sure nice).

Hi Henny Penny, Thanks! Seems I am so slow at accomplishing things also and I don't have all the interesting animals that you take care of!! Nancy

Hi Granny marigold, I don't have a lot of decorations for occasions outside of Christmas! Once gardening season starts I won't be getting as many crafts accomplished! Nancy

That chicken pie looks absolutely mmmm! really warming to the body and soul :)
I like the banner your friend made, what a sweet gift. I usually put one up for Valentines ( I DO like a pretty banner!) But I don't go mad....it is not quite such a 'thing' here in the UK, although there are plenty of proposals and romantic dedications on the radio etc.
I had a little banner of felt hearts I made, but it is 'lost' from our move! Will hunt for it today : )
Wishing you a joyful day!

You just reminded me that I have some whole cranberries in the freezer. Hmm, I might bake this weekend.

I've never made my own chicken pot pie - care to share your recipe?

I love homemade chicken pot pie. Yumm!! I haven't made one this winter. I have a whole box of valentine as well as St. Patrick's Day decorations. I just pulled it out a couple days ago to take a few things to decorate my teaching pod at school. I used to decorate more at home when the kids were small, not so much anymore. The bread looks yummy too. This just reminded me I have some apple nut bread in the freezer I baked in the fall. I better get that out too. Have a great day! :)

Hi Alex, Yes, the chicken pie is comfort pie and filling! Hope you can find and enjoy your felt heart banner! Nancy

Yum - you certainly did bake up a storm!

I'm working on our Christmas stockings now - it really is never too early! They actually should have been done a year ago, but it's one of those projects I just kept procrastinating on.

Cozy Thyme Cottage said...

Hi Betty, Thank you! I hope you get your runner done. I need to work ahead as I am not too speedy! Nancy

Cozy Thyme Cottage said...

Hi Margaret, It looks like I did a lot of baking but that is not all in one week! LOL Good luck on getting those stockings done! Nancy

It kind of looks like you are 'nesting' as I have been lately. Just been in the mood to bake different things!
All your goodies look so yummy.

I have never decorated for Valentine's Day. I decorate in the fall and for Christmas, that's about it here.

All your cooking and baking us making me hungry! I still have some cranberries in the freezer, and need to name some bread. Your Christmas runners look so pretty and now you're ready for next year!
Thank you for your visit to my blog!

Cozy Thyme Cottage said...

Hi Cheryl, Thanks! I usually only bake one thing a day so that is about three weeks worth of pictures! Nancy

Hi kitty@Kitty's Kozy Kitchen, Thought I had better get those cranberries used up as so often they just sit in the freezer after Christmas. Good luck getting yours done up. Nancy

I would have to start now if I were going to make gifts for next Christmas! What a fun post. I love the bunting. And I keep thinking I'm going to sit down and make some dishcloths. I need to. And I have a recipe for cranberry orange bread that I think I'm going to have to make. I forgot about it. Sounds good.
Have a great weekend.

Yum! Your home must smell divine with all of those lovely creations coming from the oven. My hubby loves homemade chicken pot pie and I haven't made it forever due to our low carbs diet. I need to made him one some Saturday, if he eat carbs, he needs to eat them early in the day so that there is time to work them off a little bite before bedtime.
I am delighted that the banner arrived and that you liked it. Every time I mail from home and just guess on the right amount of postage, then I worry about delivery. I just hate driving into town just for the post office. The other day I mailed two packages at the post office, both back east. They were almost the same size but one was under $3 and the other was over $20 . . . so you can see why I worry when I guess :) It looks lovely on your mantel :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
Connie :)

Hi Connie, Not eating carbs is suppose to be healthy but I find that hard. Of course I love the banner! I love everything you make! We are lucky to live not too far from a post office. I don't blame you for not wanting to drive into town. It got here just fine! I would gladly pay the extra postage if there were any as am tickled pink to get your crafts! Nancy

Hi Sue, Thanks! I enjoyed looking at your blog and all your flowers! So pretty! It took me a long time to make all those things so guess I am not really very productive! Nancy

Hi Leigh, Why is pot pie and soups taste extra good in the winter?? Not too productive....kinda slow! Glad you could visit! Nancy

Hi Nancy! The breads and pie look delicious! I am thankful you shared them! How smart you are for using leftover yarn! Very usef! Sometimes I decorate for Valentine's Day, if I'm in a crafty mood. This year, not so much! Oh, those runners are so pretty! Sure is a lot of work! Have a nice day! Blessings from Bama!

I am a HUGE fan of chicken pot pie!! One of my resolutions is to learn to make my own pastries for meat pies. Right now I use the frozen ones, but it is my summer project to learn this year!!
