What I am doing!!

I have been trying to machine quilt a lap quilt!

I wanted a change so put the sheer curtains up instead of the country valance.  Hung my little hearts on them.

This is the arrangement in the living room that Bob made of ships that I enjoy looking at.  They are post cards.

I finished knitting this neck scarf.  It is too bulky for me but nice and warm for walking in the cold!

I have been enjoying listening to music from Pandora.

I have new artwork to cheer up my refrigerator made by my little artists Gracie and Cali!

Enjoying a beautiful peach colored rose that brightens up my kitchen from Bob!  So what have you been up too???

I wondered what was keeping you so busy that you weren't posting much. Now I know. I like the lap quilt. I have a nice one in pink tones but of course I didn't make it ( picked it up at a garage sale).
That rose is a very unique colour!

Wow! You have certainly been ambitious. I am just barely getting myself organized. I have gotten all the Christmas decor put away. I went back to work on Monday after two weeks off and I have been to the dentist. That doesn't sound like nearly as much fun as what you have been doing. Your quilt is going to be lovely. I like the neck scarf too.

Hi Nancy! I hope ya'll had a wonderful Christmas! We sure did! I hope to write about it soon. I like the sheer curtain and little hearts! The quilt top is so pretty! I wished I knew how to sew better! Pandora is such a great station to listen to. I love the kids art work! Bob is so thoughtful! I hope your Lyme disease is over. Or at least you are feeling much better now! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama!

You have been delightfully productive and what a treat to see everything. I especially love the refrigerator art. :)

Well, you have been busy making pretty things...or making things pretty. What a beautiful rose! I would faint if Poppy came in bringing a rose. :)

What adorable pictures from the grandkids! All those snowflakes...I had to smile.
Glad to hear you have been enjoying some home projects, its a good way to spend January.
I have been catching up with the washing now it is mended and cooking a roast chicken to take to my Dad tomorrow.

Kudos on quilting on your machine. I struggle with a baby-size quilt and can't begin to imagine doing anything larger. Love all of your other projects, too.

I've been knitting. A sore knee has kept me in the recliner with it elevated - little to do but knit or read.

Hi Granny Marigold, Thanks! I never seem to find good buys on things very often at garage sales. But then I don't go often enough! Have a good day! Nancy

Hi Gionade, Thanks! If I had a job outside the home I wouldn't have time to do many crafts either. And I dislike going to the dentist very much. Hope you got good news about your teeth. Nancy

Hi Felecia, Thanks for your encouragement! We did have a nice Christmas and glad you did too. I bet you could sew quilts just as well if you tried. I am an amateur. My Lyme is not much better but I went off a blood pressure medicine which gives me more energy and I always feel better in the colder weather. Glad you could visit. Nancy

Hi Henny Penny, Bob brings me a rose every once in awhile. I do appreciate it! I am slow at doing crafts but like to keep at it. It is the beginning of the new year so I need to also do some spring house cleaning! Thanks for the visit! Nancy

Hi Alex, Thanks! I am glad all those snowflakes are on the refrigerator and not outdoors! LOL That is nice that you cook for your Dad. Do you do that often? I use to drive an hour and a half to take my Dad a meal every other week. Glad you could stop by! Nancy

Hi Tired Teacher, Thanks! I have not done a lot of machine quilting. So far have only done in the ditch. I could not handle anything larger than a lap quilt. What are you knitting? Hope your knee gets better soon. Nancy

Happy New Year. You seem to be getting little projects finished. A must for me too. Busy Busy Busy over the festive season but now that the decs are all down, hubby and I have been completely Spring cleaning the house. It's a bit hard to dust with so many decorations around so it gets a bit messy. All done now so back to my sewing .

Hi Jeanette, Happy New Year to you also! I wish I had my spring house cleaning done. Not my favorite chore! I admire you sewing so much. Glad you had time to visit! Nancy

My you have been busy - that quilt looks great, as does the scarf! I've been busy too, not only with garden planning but a few non-gardening projects, such as knitting and finally finishing new Christmas stockings for the family that have been in the works since last year. One of the reasons I love winter is it give us a chance to catch up on all those things that we tend to ignore during gardening season.

Hi Margaret, Thanks! I never seem to get caught up! Glad you are getting some extra things done. What are you knitting or are the Christmas stockings knitted? Have a great winter. Nancy

Margaret said...

The stockings are a sewing project, something else that I'm attempting to get a bit better at. Currently I have several knitting projects on the go including some socks, a blanket (started in March!) and a hat. I only knit in the evenings and mostly in front of the tv, so most projects are a bit slow going :)

Hi, Nancy, I love that quilt! So pretty! Everything at your house looks nice and cheery. Your rose is so sweet!

Hi Margaret, Thanks for answering. I would really like to try to knit a hat. Will have to look and decide on an easy hat pattern. Also another scarf that is not so heavy. I am very slow at getting things done though as don't work on them long enough! Good luck on yours. Nancy

Hi Vicki, Thanks! Nice to hear from you! I will be glad to get that quilt done and move on to something else. Also I want to use it on the back of the couch! Still using the Christmas one! LOL Nancy

The lap quilt and scarf are both so pretty and the sheer curtains with the hearts give the room a soft, romantic feel.

As for me, here lately, I've just been looking around my house, (which unfortunately, wasn't the picture of the pretty blue one on the blog), and just thinking of ways to improve my space. Still working on those ideas, though. Thank God for Pinterest... )

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
