Update!

Last year something ate my climbing rose bush.  I did spray it a couple times this year and am excited to see it growing now!

Have been harvesting sugar peas from the garden!

The scarlet runner bean is climbing the pergola.  Coco kept pulling the leaves off them so I set some pots around it to keep her from eating it.

Potted up a couple more plants!

The lavendar is doing the best ever this year!

One section of the garden!

Another section!

And another section!

This use to be the compost bin!

Lettuces and spinach planted here!

A section of the flower bed.

Another view of the flower bed!

Carrots in the boxes are flourishing!

For Sale sign went up today!

I'm so confused. Are you selling your house? You've worked so hard on the yard and everything looks so great I can't believe it. I must have gotten it wrong. I'll check back here so you can let me know.

Hi Granny Marigold, Yes, we are going to try to sell our house and move into a place that keeps up the outside. I will have a small courtyard I can do what I want in so will become a pot gardener! Nancy

Your place looks so lovely I'll bet it sells in no time. Good luck

It had struck me already that your hugely productive garden is quite big!
I can understand the wish to downsize a bit, Nancy. It is amazing what you have done with the veggies...so healthy looking! That skill will go with you wherever you go.
I hope you find the perfect little nest soon! God willing.

Granny Marigold, Thanks!!

Hi Alex, Thanks! We have a place picked to build a house that does the outside work except for a small courtyard. Nancy

Hi Sue, Thanks! I am afraid so. We both have health problems and can't keep it up. Nancy

Hi Felecia, Thanks! We hope our house sells soon also! Nancy

Hi Nancy ... your yard and garden looks lovely and such a plus to selling a house this time of the year. We just sold our rental house and the last renters had done a nice job of landscaping. Everything was in bloom and I just know that helped sell the house. Good luck and wishing you happiness in your move. We need to be thinking about doing the same thing. Too hard to keep up now.
Hugs,
Audrey Z.

Wonderful update! I see you have both squash and sunflowers in your compost bin...it will be the pretties bin in your neighbourhood, I'm sure! As Granny Marigold said, your house will sell in no time - I would have loved a garden setup like that, all ready to go.

Hi Audrey, Thanks! I guess there comes a time in everyone's life when they have to think about downsizing! Good luck! Nancy

Oh Sweet Nancy, your garden is looking grand and even your compost bin is beautiful:) I know that you have mixed feelings about selling your home, because you have turned it into a lovely and cozy home. The fact is that you will make a wonderful home wherever you go. Home is where your love ones are. You're being brave, trusting the Lord and stepping out in faith . . . I know that better things are ahead for both of you . . . a new adventure :)
God bless you.
Connie :)

Hi Connie, Thank you! Yes, it is bittersweet feelings selling our house. We were going to live here the rest of our lives but it is time now to make it easier for Bob. Me too as am still dealing with Lyme. As long as we are together it will be okay and we feel so thankful to still have each other as so many of our friends have lost their spouses! Thank you for the kind words! Nancy

You must be getting plenty of rain; everything looks gorgeous!

It must have been a huge decision to see your house. But I hope it sells quickly and for a good price.

All the gardens, both veggie and flower are absolutely lovely. WOW on moving. Are you staying close by?

I hate that you will have to leave those beautiful gardens, but I do understand. You should have no problem selling that's for sure.

have a good week.

Hi Leigh, I have been watering when we don't get enough rain! Thanks! Nancy

Hi Cheryl, Thanks! Yes, we are not moving too far. Just to a place that they do the outside work except for a little courtyard. You have a good week also! Nancy

Good Morning Nancy,

Your garden is really lovely. I see you have been working hard. I can image how difficult it would have been to make the decision to sell a home you were planning to live in forever. I have no doubt that you and your husband will make your new house a cozy home as well. Ever blessing to you.

Hi Mountain Mama, Yes, it is hard but we can no longer keep it all up. Thanks for commenting. Nancy

Hi Gloriade, Thanks! There will be some sadness in leaving this place but it will be exciting to be moving into a new place together. Nancy

Well, good for you and best of luck selling your home. Congratulations!

Your lavender is wonderful. I ordered and started seed inside to no avail. I do have a spot in mind outside though where I think I will toss some seed and keep my fingers crossed.

Hi Becky, Thank you. It has sold if everything goes through okay. EEK! I bought little plants to get my lavender started. Most of it has been there for quite sometime now. Good luck on yours. Nancy

Sorry I've been gone so long. Too much was going on in my heart and mind that I pulled back from blogging. I was surprised, a little, to hear that you are selling as I know you both love your space there. I am glad you are able to sell and are downsizing for your well being and also that you have dreams and thoughts on pot planting and enjoying your courtyard. That is wonderful. Have a great day remembering to pray always. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!

You are very welcome. This summer is shaping up nicely, we are one of those plain and simple families though. We do one or two activities that include both children we or more I refuse to split and run like crazy just because it's summer. I like playing in the water with our children and taking pictures of them doing so if I am unable to get in the water for whatever reason. *smile* We have a humble garden that is full of weeds along with pumpkins, sunflowers, potatoes, and tomatoes. *smile* We went as a family to pick some cherries and hope to put up some blueberries and apples this year. *smile* There is no need to rush to do all that can fit in the day though doing things that the Lord gives brings joy and growth, so by all means...do something. *big smile* Have a great day knowing you are thought of and prayed for. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
