House, Flowers, Others

A  lot of the siding is on the house now.  The little part in the front under the windows will be brick.  This is just not progressing fast enough to suit me!!!!

These flowers in the back of the apartment complex were looking so pretty one day with the sun shining through! Just had to take a picture!

Our friends from Pt. Huron, Michigan stopped by yesterday.  It was wonderful to see them again and visit.

I set up the card table in the kitchen and Bob hauled my heavy machine out for me.  Now when I get some energy and time I can sew some seams together.  I miss being productive.

It was dreary and chilly this morning and Coco has the right idea!  I think I will take that spot in a few minutes!  Thanks for visiting!

I'm sure it's hard to wait for things to get finished on the house. I imagine you have lots of decisions to make about things like flooring, bathroom fixtures, paint colours, and on and on.
It will be nice to have your sewing machine ready to go whenever you have time and energy to work on a project. If and when you do, be sure to post about it. I'm always curious about what others are doing.

Hi Granny Marigold, I would just like to get settled and be able to find things once again! LOL If I get the quilt top sewn together I will have to post it! Take care. Nancy

Although it seem as if your house is progressing quickly to me, it probably does seem slow to you. :-). I can imagine the excitement of choosing finishes and planning where things will go. Me? I'm ready to move into an apartment. Ha! Ha!
Blessings,
Betsy

I know exactly what you mean about being 'in limbo' between homes.
We have moved so many times, you are never sure whether to bother getting craft equipment out (and that's if you can find it!!)
I think you were wise to get on and do sewing ~ the time will pass much more quickly!
It is going to be a lovely house...all that space!

A tickle behind the ear for Coco..Wishing you cosy, craft-filled Autumn days ~
Blessings!

Good Morning Nancy,

Well it looks like your apartment is in a pretty location with all the flowers and trees. I hope as you find the time to do some sewing that the time will pass more quickly.

Looking good Nancy. Glad you have your sewing machine to keep you busy.
It won't be long before you can get everything moved in and loving it.
The flowers in the back look really pretty.
Enjoy.

Looks like your house is coming along well - it's never quick enough for us, is it? Can't wait to see what you churn out on the sowing machine. I know what you mean about wanting to be productive - I'm exactly the same way.

Hi Betsy, Apartment living might not be so bad if I had enough room and was organized! Too many things in storage that were not labeled well! But this is only temporary and i will make it! Nancy

Hi Alex, I just wish I had the energy to sew. Just can't seem to get out of remission with this chronic lyme disease. I should have ask your advice about moving and storage!! Nancy

Hi Gloriade, I do like seeing flowers in bloom. That looked so pretty with the sun shining on them. Now I just need energy to sew! Nancy

Hi Audrey, Thanks. So far no sewing done but at least it is out there and waiting. Nancy

Hi Margaret, With my chronic lyme disease being productive right now is sort of discouraging but at least it is out there and waiting! Yep, I am impatient! Nancy

Nancy, it looks like it's really progressing quickly. You haven't updated in awhile, so I take it you are busy!

I'm so glad you get to sew again. I love sewing too! I sent my machine in to get its cleaning and was ecstatic to get it back! I have to get a vest cut out for our son as he would like a vest. I'm not sure if it should be an out and about vest or an around the house vest. I will have to make my decision before I start cutting the fabric. *smile* And with our process of moving from Washington to Idaho I'm leery of getting a sewing project in the process and needing to move it. I don't want to loose parts and pieces. *smile* I'm so happy for you! Have a great day. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!

Hi Leigh, Living in this apartment doesn't leave me much interesting to update about!! LOL Thanks for visiting anyway! Nancy

Hi Blessings, It is hard to stay organized when moving but maybe you could start sewing and then put everything in a plastic tote? Whatever you decide to do enjoy! Nancy

Thanks Nancy. I was thinking just today about what kind of fabric I would use as a liner as we enjoyed the Christmas Beatrix Potter cartoon we have on video. *smile* Not silk lining, but something nice I think. *smile* We shall see. *smile* And the plastic tote is a good idea, we like to be as organized as possible, even when we can't really be. *smile* I am one of those gals that likes to have a little something going in different crafty areas and the sewing machine is the only thing with nothing going on at the moment. *smile* Have a blessed day and thanks for making the time to pop by my blog too. It's so sweet of you. Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
