Feb. 11, 2018

We were blessed with a couple of nice days...........

And now we are blessed with this!

Coco needs a path shoveled to go out for her daily duties!  She has a nice "daddy" that shovels one for her!

My Christmas cactus must be preparing early for next Christmas!  It bloomed on one side before and it looks like it will only bloom on one side again.  Can anyone tell me why that is?

Nora, our great grandbaby, came for a visit!  Do you think she may become a chef?!  Or maybe she will excel at being a "taste tester"!

Have been working on this "couch" quilt made from scraps.  Need to buy some batting and backing yet.

Made this flannel baby blanket for the gift cupboard.  It is plain pink on one side and pink with white polka dots on the other.  I am hoping for more great grandbabies someday!

Just slivers left of my lotion bar so had to make up more.  I really like using these!

Why is it that my music area seems to get as messy and disorganized as my craft area!  Thank you if you visited or left a comment.  I always enjoy reading the comments and also meeting new bloggers!

Lovely to see you post Nancy ... hope things are well again. Gosh you sure do have extreme weathers over there!!! I don't know why your cactus is flowering again except to say that I think the seasons & flowering & fruiting are all over the place now ... there seems to be no pattern anymore. Have a lovely week Nancy Xxx

Well that was a weather change wasn't it? We haven't had snow for almost a month now and none is in the forecast. That's fine with me. It even reached 59 degrees last week although it's back in the 30's again now. Love that quilt. I have made a few, but it's really not my "thing". I much prefer a crochet hook or knitting needles in my hands.
Have a lovely day my friend.
Blessings,
Betsy

Hi Julie, Yes, our weather gives us a bit of hope and then takes it away! Eventually spring will get here. Hoping someone can give me information on my cactus but will enjoy the blooms I get. Enjoy your week! Nancy

Hi Betsy, Lucky you to not have snow for a month! You do excel at knitting and crocheting but I imagine your quilts would be just as lovely! Maybe you could send some of your nicer weather our way! Have a good week! Nancy

I think your craft area looks so organized and neat. And your music area just looks "lived in".
Nora is such a sweet baby. Cute as a button.
Have a great week!!

Hi Granny Marigold, Thank you! It is hard to accomplish anything and still be neat don't you agree? You have a great week also! Nancy

That snow is amazing! In the West of England we get very little real snow, just a few flakes that last a day or two.

What a big difference in those first two pictures! I'm sure ready for spring and warm "planting" weather, aren't you! :)

Wow you really got a lot of snow, Nancy! I'd love to know the 'recipe' for your lotion bars, will you post it some day?

Hi Nancy :) Oh the potty trails...we have a lot of them going in the backyard. The other day I gave up on the shovel and just walked in my snowshoes and pushed the snow down under me, so much easier! :) Your quilt looks so cute, I love it! And that Christmas cactus is beautiful!!! I have no idea about the blooms though!

Hi Rain, Thank you! I don't have snowshoes but it is just a little area to shovel and hubby usually does it. They certainly are necessary with dogs! Do your dogs share the paths? Nancy

Hi Joy from Days Filled With Joy, I would gladly share some of our snow with you! LOL Nora is our only great-granddaughter so far and she is a cutie. Thank you for visiting and taking the time to comment! Always nice to meet new bloggers! Nancy

Hi Nancy :) Yes they share, actually we have paths and trails that go pretty much all around the back yard and a little bit into the woods. But lately we can only bring them out one at a time because they get distracted by each other and "forget" why they are out there lol...it's too cold to fool around!! In the summer they can all go out together and it's fine because we tie them all up on long individual ropes and they pretty much spend the summer in the yard with each other, but frigid winter days are for business only lol! :)
