Tasha Tudor and other things!

Is anyone a fan of Tasha Tudor????  What beautiful flowers in her yard!

I received new gardening gloves for Christmas!  Dream on.........

Also received a digital scale!  Now I will be able to weigh all that wonderful produce that I will hopefully grow!

My dilly carrots were all gone that I had canned earlier so canned up some more from some carrots that I had in the refrigerator!  Yum!

Make sure you take time to relax and a cup of tea before the yard work and gardening begins once again!!

Your teapot is beautiful.

I haven't heard of Tasha Tudor. The cover of the book is beautiful. I haven't really planted a lot of flowers.

Have a wonderful weekend.

I like the way you think! Spring and sumnmer ARE right around the corner. I have been thinking about the veggies I want to plant this year and downloading free gardening books to my Kindle.

Hi Debbie, Do you order your seeds from a catalog? Because I have a small garden area I am wondering about doing that this year. I received a Kindle Fire for Christmas. I have not found a lot of free gardening books but a few and will keep looking! Working on a table runner I started a year ago! Thanks for visiting! Nancy

That scale looks like a wonderful Christmas gift! May it weigh many pounds of home-grown goodness for you! I have always liked Tasha Tudor's illustrations and the pictures of her gardens are so gorgeous. Wish I had the work ethic to do something like that here!

Hi nutmeg gardener, I think I will really enjoy my new scale. Didn't have a digital before so it was hard to weigh the greens. Tasha Tudor was some lady! Thanks for visiting! Nancy

Hi emilysincerely, Thanks! I got a good buy on carrots so canned three more pints of dilly carrots today. Peeled the garlic and forgot to put it in! Duh! Guess they will just be "dilly"! Thanks for visiting! Nancy

I LOVE Tasha Tudor too! Even kept her illustrated children's books I originally purchased for my children. Also have her 'Forever Christmas' Christmas book I re-read each and every year just for me. I'll have to see if our library has this Garden book. It looks inviting. You will like having a digital scale. I bought one this past year to record produce harvested from our garden and it's nice to keep records like that. Cute teapot! Looks like you're ready for the new gardening season to begin!!
Happy New Year Nancy!

I'm still winding down after the busy holiday season and haven't thought about my gardens. I haven't got any seed catalogues in the mail yet, either. I am enjoying a hot cuppa while working online, yep taking your advice!

Hi Nancy! Those dilly carrots must be delicious! Looks like you're doing some of the same things that I am, cooking and reading about gardening! Your snow sure looks pretty! We probably won't get any this year, argh! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama!

Hi Bama girl, Yep, we are doing much the same thing except you do more cooking, baking and preserving than I do! We have not had much snow which is not good because we have a drought. Glad you could visit! Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
