Work, Pictures, Fashion, Peas & Spray

I had to get her done so I put on my winter jacket and ear muffs and got to it!!

I had bought three large pots to put outside Coco's domain to plant onions and a squash so filled them up and planted the onions.  Will do the squash when it warms up.  Note the poor Elderberry bushes!  They sure look like they are dead!  "Wonderful Gardener" trimmed them way back last year.  He hopes they will die!  I hope not!!

I had visitors!  Gracie brought me new artwork for my refrigerator!

Cali brought one she colored for Papa.  She doesn't like her picture taken most of the time!  On the other hand, Gracie loves to pose!

You will never guess what we are doing here!!  Playing Hide the Thimble outdoors only it is an empty vitamin bottle.  It provided lots of fun and fresh air!

After that we had to have a fashion show!  I snuck this picture of Cali!  Nana needs to find more dress up clothes to play with!

And here is Gracie posing!  No problem with taking pictures of her!  I had lots to choose from!!!!!!!

We finally got a couple days when I didn't have to wear my ear muffs although it is suppose to get back down into the 40's again.  I planted my sugar peas against my makeshift trellis.  I was so happy about that until I read at the bottom of the package after I had planted them that I was suppose to soak them!! Oh, no!!!  I hope and pray they come up anyway!  The ones that I planted last year I didn't have to soak but these are a different kind.  Woe is me!

I bought my spray for my fruit trees today so that I will be prepared!  I will have to wait awhile yet but the tree lady will send me an e-mail and tell me when!  I am hoping for lots of peaches, Asian pears and sweet cherries this year!  I am trying to go organic and she said this would be okay to use.  Dream on till harvest!!!

Very cute. I've got some oil spray too that I need to put on. But I haven't a clue when I'm supposed to do it. I suppose before the tree buds out. I really ought to look it up as the time is getting closer.

Hi Nancy! Looks like ya'll are having fun outside in spite of the cold weather! Thankfully the snow has melted for you! Maybe it won't matter about the peas being soaked. The girls are so cute! I guess all girls like to play dress up! It's nice to have the family so close! I would be sad if I couldn't visit with mine often! Hope it warms up for ya'll this week! We're getting 80 later in the week! Blessings from Bama!

Hi Daphne, Yes, I think the time is almost here to spray. She said when it is 50 degrees in daytime consistently to spray the Lime Sulfur Spray in the morning and let it dry before night. She said to spray the Horticultural Oil Spray two weeks later. I am just learning about all this but sure hope I get lots of fruit this summer! Nancy

I had two granddaughters, sisters, a lot like yours: one always wanted to be in the spotlight and the other, very shy. Sweet girls you have!

I'm almost afraid to pull a weed in the flower bed; if the dogs see fresh dirt they'll probably dig for something.

Hi lil red hen, Isn't it amazing how each child in a family can be so different! God made each one special. Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
