Today we had gusty winds. We were still able to get some weeding done. This asparagus from my garden will be eaten tonight! YUM!
Spinach, lettuce and turnip greens from the garden will be made into a salad for tonight. I planted a little more radishes and lettuces today.
This is my spider plant. I got a starter from my friend Carol. I think it is having baby's. That is my wonderful gardener in the background!
I picked up a couple books from the library today. One is a gardening book on interlibrary loan. "Organic Gardening The Natural No-Dig Way" by Charles Dowding. The other book I can read when I am not gardening! We have a wonderful library!

Ah...a lovely supper salad. Bet it was delicious. Am jealous your asparagus is all ready to be harvested. Mine isn't even out of the ground!!

Hi Gardeningbren, My harvest Monday was not much compared to most but I sure did enjoy eating it! I only have a few asparagus plants but Bob doesn't like it so just has to feed me. Yes, we both have white in our gardens. Makes the perfect backdrop for things, don't you think! Come again. Nancy
Love that asparagus. This is the first year I've gotten any; just a spear here and there, hoping next year they will come on thicker and faster!

I like it steamed with a little butter. I picked some Italian turnip tops for our tea tonight, i think i will have noodle soup.
Hi Andrea, Thanks for commenting. I am happy to meet you. I am new to growing and cooking asparagus but so far I like mine sauteed in a couple tablespoons of butter and then a little water added with a cover to steam for a very few minutes and then sprinkle some parmesan cheese on before I eat. I don't like mine cooked too soft. Is Pak Choi similar in taste to Swiss Chard? I have never grown it before nor borlotti beans. I am new to blogging. How do you ever keep up to three blogs!! lol Please come again. Nancy
