Here it is Monday already! How did the week go so fast? Last Monday I was able to find a few greens, some green beans and 2 or 3 cucumbers.
Tuesday was a nice little variety!
Just green beans and a few raspberrys on Wed. and a couple carrots shown in the next picture.
I am so proud of my carrots this year! The best I have ever been able to grow carrots! Hoping this happens again next year!
Thursday harvest was my sad tomatoes and a few green beans again.
On Friday the pickings were more plentiful. Cucumbers, beans, tomatoes, yellow squash and a few greens. We seem to have plenty to eat from our little garden and a little to freeze! Thankful for the bounty!
There was plenty to pick again on Saturday! Really will miss all this fresh produce come winter!
I went out to pick a couple green beans and didn't expect to get all this on Sunday! Wonderful!
I went to Green Days this past week and the little water gauge was a freebie! Isn't it cute! I need to go out and see how much rain we have gotten!
Now I cannot resist showing off our two littlest granddaughters first day of school. This is Gracie and she just lives a little ways from us. We enjoy seeing her often.
This is Abigail's first day and she is a grown up first grader now! I wish they lived closer so that I would get to see her more often. Her Daddy is a Master Chief in the Navy and they now live in MD. We are proud of him also! Thanks for visiting once again!

It's hard when the grandkids are far away. Mine lives 2000 miles away. I'm lucky to see him 3 times a year. Sigh.....
Nice harvests--
I like your squash. I hope to grow a similar variety next year! My tomatoes have been pitiful too. I hope they pick up soon! What a great freebie! My kids are about the same age as your grand kids. They started 1st grade too. I wish their grandparents got to see them more often too!
Hurray for green beans! When all else fails, they keep on coming! You still have a nice varied harvest coming in for sure! What a blessing to have grandchildren too. We keep hoping, but it is looking less and less likely. Still, you never know.
Hi Sue, We only get to see our long distance grandkids once or twice a year too. Thank goodness for modern technology which our grandparents did not have or even my parents! Thanks for visiting my blog! Come again. Nancy
Looks like you've been having a nice harvest. Actually I like it when things come a bit every day; I"d rather eat it fresh every day than to be canning!
Quite a lovely and varied harvest! And beautiful girls starting school too? It was a great week indeed!
Hi Shawn Ann, Thanks for visiting! I think patty pan squash is so cute! At least we have modern technology to keep in touch with grandkids and your kids grandparents! Come again! Nancy
Hi nutmeg gardener, We sure do like fresh green beans with our meals. Have gotten a few to freeze but not an overabundance. Thanks for visiting! Come again! Nancy
Hi Mary, It is so great to eat fresh produce all the time! It is nice tho too when I get a little extra to freeze. Will sure miss the fresh this winter! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Hi Susan Zentmyer, It is always a great week when there is fresh produce from the garden and pictures of the granddaughters! Have been enjoying the produce with our meals. Thanks for visiting. Come again! Nancy
Wow, you had a really great harvest this week. Lots of beans so I'm a little jealous our bean harvest so far this year has been terrible. Cute Grandkids!!
Hi Stoney Acres, It has been great this year having a little of this and a little of that to eat fresh! I agree the grandkids are cute! lol Thanks! Come again! Nancy
What beautiful granddaughters. I know we sure miss fresh vegetables in the winter. Your garden is doing great. Your carrots look really good.
Have a wonderful day.

I need a little rain guage like that. My husband got me a fancy one for Christmas last year that resets itself etc... only problem is it never seems to work right and is more annoying than useful. I could not convince him that often low tech options are more useful and reliable (he's a tech/computer guy so it's understandable how much in love he is with gadgets).
The girls look great heading off to school. My daughter started back to University classes yesterday (far away in PA) - going into her Junior year.
What cute grandchildren! Love 'first day of school' photos. Your daily harvest looks varied and delicious. Envious of your carrots. We may need to try those here next year. Never grown carrots before.... yours are beautiful.
Very nice harvest, especially beans, carrots and cucumbers are very lovely.
Thanks Cheryl, Don't you wish kids didn't grow up so fast! Blink your eyes and they are graduating! Come again! Nancy
Hi kitsapFG, I like my little rain gauge because I can keep it where it is handy. I have an older larger one but it is back farther and I forget to check it and empty it. Sorry your daughter had to go off to college. I know you will miss her. Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Hi Lisa, Thanks! This is about my third year of trying to grow carrots and at last I feel a little more success! Hope you have good luck next year! Come again! Nancy
Hi Jenny, Thanks. We are enjoying it before the snow flies! I don't know how you keep up to all your wonderful harvests! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Hi Nancy! It looks like your garden has provided you with loads of delicious produce this year! I agree, it will be a sad day when the vegetables are done for the season...
Your granddaughters are adorable all decked out for school.
Have a wonderful day,
Debbie :)
Hi Dewdrop Gardens, We have not had a lot of produce to give away this year but the garden has kept us well supplied and we did have a little extra! Thanks for the compliment on the granddaughters! Come again! Nancy
