Dill, Material & Littles

My harvest this week was dill and more greens!  I had not planned to harvest the dill until I went to the grocery store and saw the ridiculous price of a tiny bottle of dried dill weed!  It is late in the season here to pick this but thought I would give it a try!

This little bottle of dill was $3.98 at the grocery store.  I found these other two containers of dill weed at a bulk food store the next day.  Price for the total of them was only $1.83!  That was a much better price I would think!

Now that there is not much to harvest maybe I can get a little sewing done.  Got this material on sale plus a 25 percent off coupon.  The black has Treble Clef music signs on it which doesn't show up in the picture.  I think my other hobby is collecting material!!!!!

My "littles" came to visit yesterday!  Here they are hard at work creating!

Playing with the dominoes was fun too!!

This is Gracie with her Daddy!  Sending you lots of smiles this week!

I wish I'd gotten around to planting my dill this year. It was one of a number of things that got missed. How nice yours looks hanging up to dry! Your "littles" look precious! And I like that fabric! I used to quilt a lot, so I have a closet full of fabric. I refuse to buy any more because it became quite the addiction, :-)

Dill is expensive. I didn't make pickles this year but I grew dill for next year.

How fun to have some new fabric to work with. I love sewing with my treadle machine. I keep it in the living room so it is handy.

Have a wonderful evening.

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for visiting! How fun it must be to sew with a treadle machine! Not sure if I could handle that! lol I have my Mom's old sewing maching but she had converted it to electric. I just use it for decoration! Come again! Nancy

Hope your dill turns out great. Nice find on the bulk! So what are you going to sew with all that material! I made an apron and chefs hat for my boy yesterday. I think I may post it today! It turned out better than I thought it would. Lots of fun with your grand children. I wish my kids could see their grandparents more. My daughter is always writing notes to them saying she wishes she could be with them!

Hi Shawn Ann, I want to sew a couple more Christmas 10 minute table runners with the green and the Christmas material. I would like to make a coin (I think that is what it is called) with the music material. I don't get a lot of sewing accomplished! Maybe your kids could adopt some grandparents near you that their grands live a distance? Thanks for visiting. Come again! Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
