Spring time.....or Christmas time?

This is a bird nest from last summer!  Wouldn't it be nice if it was spring time and we would start seeing Robins once again!  Dream on!!!

Another book from the library!  Helps in the dreaming process!

This was the very first nativity scene that we purchased after we were married! Our one son thought baby Jesus was cold so that is why He has red felt over Him. It has been set up that way ever since back then!

At one time we collected Nativity scenes until we had no more room to put them!  My Wonderful Gardener made the one on the left on top of the piano for us.

A friend made the Christmas heart for me and a talented lady in the Herb Club taught us how to make the large bows.  Now if I could only remember how to do it!

I love my new quilt rack that hangs on the wall so wanted to share a picture of it with you.  Our son from MD made it!  I am so proud of the wood work that he does!  They brought it when they came for their Thanksgiving visit.  I am one lucky Mom!

You will never guess what this is!  The chives that I brought into the house in a pot were not doing well so I planted them back outdoors.  Since I am trying to recover from bronchitis I probably should not have been out doing this.   It was an unseasonbly warm day and hey, a gardener has to do what she has to do!  Right?

If you can see the little bit of green growing in this last picture it is Kale that I planted back on Nov. 6th.  It looks kind of yellow so wondering if it needs more sunshine!  I put a plastic box cover over it at night and uncover it in the daytime.  Perhaps I will luck out!!!

I think it's spring time. It should be freezing and snowing by now, but I picked a rose yesterday!

Hi Annie's Granny, Yep! Weather sure is puzzling! We almost never know if we need our long johns or our shorts anymore here! Hoping the bugs thinks it is winter and move on out! Thanks for visiting! Nancy

I love that quilt rack! What a great idea to have a wall mounted one, saves space which can always be at a premium and makes for such a nice display for your quilts!

Thanks nutmeg gardener! Our wall space is limited so it is great to have the quilts hanging there! Thanks for visiting! Nancy

WOW - I love the quilt rack that your son made. I would love one to put the pretty tea towels on to display them and/or use them. I love how each rod is movable too! Clever Clever Clever! I will have to show that rack to my neighbor and see about making one together (my husband is too busy and I would prefer he dug holes when he has the time!)

I like your decorations. We have an old phone that we want to hang up in our kitchen. It isn't as fancy as yours. I like the bow on it.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi Nancy! Yes, a gardener has to do what she has to do! I too am dreaming of Spring! That book looks really interesting! Love the nativity your son put a blanket on! The quilt rack is lovely that your son made! You are a fortunate Mom! Keep practicing with the bows, I'm sure you'll get it! Blessings from Bama!

Hi Bama Girl, Sure doesn't look or feel like spring out today! We had small hail or snow yesterday! It must mean spring is just around the corner! I have to agree I am a fortunate Mom! Thanks for visiting me! Nancy

I sure do enjoy your blog! I am wanting that book now. I will check our library first. Did you glean any info from it? Was it entertaining? I really enjoy seeing your Christmas decorations too. Today I need to get out our Nativity scene on display. Yes, Jesus is the reason for it ALL! :D

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
