Pie, Plants, Table Setting, Runner, Bunny Basket, & Quilt

I made another raspberry pie out of the berrys frozen from our bushes last summer.  Gardening season has not arrived yet!

This is the extent of my "in house" gardening as no more window space!  Do I get credit for trying?  Three scented geraniums started from the mommy plant and a few Morning Glory seeds and a few Basil seeds started.

I decided to change over to spring colors and hurry the season along!  I love the little brown tea pot in the middle as it was my Mom's.  I don't know if she bought it or if she inherited it.  I wish I would have asked more questions!!!!!

I put this cheery table runner on my antique sewing machine cabinet with the "little's" pictures.

My well behaved bunnies have taken up residence on my "Green Stamps" coffee table!

When it is chilly it is nice to cuddle up in this cozy quilt that I made some time ago!  How are your gardening experiences going??????

Hi Nancy! Looks nice and 'Springy' there with all the pink and bunnies! Yes, those gardening efforts count a lot! My seedlings are doing very well with all but a few coming up. The plum, peach, and nectarine trees are beautifully in bloom! The weather is quite warm, but windy! Your pie looks delicious! And I LOVE the quilt you made! Have a nice day! Blessings from Bama!

You definitely get credit for trying! All those nice plants growing indoors is definitely a gardening effort. Your berry pie has reminded me I have lots and lots of frozen berries yet to use from last summer. I think a berry pie would be much appreciated by my husband. Thanks for the inspiration. The crafts look charming.

I hear that winter is really hanging on in the northern hemisphere, I say to ahead, change to spring colors and that ought to rush it. You mentioned that you were wishing you had asked your Mom more questions....I was thinking, that would be a great post. My Mom is 81 ...What should I ask her now while she is still with me...Just a thought? I bet it could help a lot of people not to have regrets

Hi Polka Dot Closet, Lucky you to still have your Mom! Ask her where anything you might get to keep as a keepsake came from and also questions about relatives and where they originated from. Thank you for visiting! Come again! Nancy

Hi Nancy,
I'm so glad you popped in for a visit. Your comments are so thoughtful and interesting.
I loved hearing about your cute little Coco. I can't imagine life without our furry little pals.

Your garden looks so wonderful. Ahhh...It's been a long time since I had raspberry pie. This year we are going to try to get raspberries started in our side yard. Maybe I'll be able to make a raspberry pie in time.

Have a wonderful Wednesday,
Carolynn

When you make a pie from berries of summer, doesn't it taste like 'summer'?! We still have blackberries in the freezer, and every time I add them to oatmeal, it always has a 'summertime' flavor. You definitely get credit for the gardening indoors and out you do!!! Your home looks springtime with the pretty colors in your table runners. Cute bunnies! I like the well-behaved ones too. :)

Your pie looks so good. I should make one with our frozen berries. Your quilts are pretty.

We have our garden plowed and disced. We hope to plant in the next week or so, at least our root vegetables and cool weather plants like peas, spinach, and swiss chard.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi Lisa, When you add blackberries to your oatmeal do you let them thaw for a minute? Hope our raspberry patch does well again this year. We love them. Thanks for visiting! Come again! Nancy

Yum, a pie made with garden berries! I wish I would have frozen more berries.

Your indoor garden is growing nicely.:) We are growing celery indoors and have started lemon balm inside also. I can't wait to plant our garden!

P.S. We do have gray siding on our doublewide.:)

Hi Vicki, Thank you. Have to make an effort to make it look cheery in the house while it is so cold out! Have you grown celery before? I hope my lemon balm comes back this year that is planted outside. Thanks for visiting! Come again! Nancy

Hello Nancy, thank you for your visit and nice comment about my plates.
I love all your little quilts. Its also so nice to raise your own plants from seedlings. It's far more rewarding. We are into Autumn and the weather is still very warm. We had an extremely hot Summer and I'm looking forward to the cooler months. I've planted broad beans, silver beet and peas so far for Winter. We havn't got a very big veggie patch so have to fit in where I can, sometimes amongst the flowers. Have a nice day. xx

Hi Jeanette, Thank you. We could use a little bit of warmer weather about now! It is fun to try to fit the veggies in with the flowers and also make it look pretty! Loved your pretty little dessert plates! Thank you for visiting! Come again! Nancy

Hi Nancy - your raspberry pie looks so good. What a nice taste of summer as you wait for spring to arrive. Your geranium starts look like they are doing really well. I hope to cut mine back and get starts going (with some help) this week. Your spring colors on the table look great. My Gram had a brown tea pot like yours and now my mom has it. Your bunnies in the basket are so adorable.

Cozy Thyme Cottage said...

Hi emilysincerely,Now that I see my geranium starts are going to grow I want to cut back the Mother plant this week and start a couple more. How neat that your Mom has your Grandma's brown tea pot! I use mine sometimes, does she? Thanks for visiting! Come again! Nancy

I just found your blog and love it, but I don't see away to join it. Where can I subscribe to it?

Cozy Thyme Cottage said...

Hi Willow, I am glad that you enjoy my blog. I haven't figured out about subscribing and following blogs yet but will look into it! Hopefully will do that soon. I see you are Irish. My Great-grandparents on my Dad's side came to Canada from Ireland so we have something in common! Thanks for visiting! Come again! Nancy

The vivid colors of the roses is because we have 0% humidity. The dry air allows them to dry quickly and therefore retain color!

Happy Easter!

Hi Bernideen, Thanks for answering my question about the vivid colors of the roses on your blog! Lucky you that they dry that way naturally! I am jealous of the beautiful colors! Have a wonderful Easter Sunday! Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
