Yippee! I had these sitting in front of our french door window! Several of the Morning Glory have sprouted and if I look really hard I can see a couple of basil peeking through in the other tray!
Our snow has melted and we have had rain. I went out to check the cold frame and the greens have seemed to live through the snowstorm! I see there is a weed and a couple pieces of grass to pull out too! I put the cover back down as it is not that warm here yet. Last year we had a mild winter and I planted turnips, shell peas and sugar peas on March 7th! Not this year!
I did get some cards made up! This is one of them and I need to get a couple different kinds done ahead.
I love this lamp. So far it has survived the dog and grand-kids! It was broke and given to me by my sister. My handy hubby fixed it! Three cheers for handy hubby!
It was handy hubby's birthday celebration and the "littles" made this art work for him that I hung on the refrigerator. "Littles" sure do brighten up one's life!
Another book checked out from our library! Had to see if I could learn anything from it while waiting for warmer weather. Some of you are lucky and already planting outdoors! Enjoy!

What lovely art! I received a card from my grandson this past week and it made my month!
You have reminded me that I need to start some morning glories!
Just look at all those over wintered salad greens! That makes me wish I had built a cold frame. I think I will plan on planting and covering a bed next winter, and hope I can get some extended use from it.
Hi Robin, You do such a good job of gardening that I am glad that I could remind you to start the morning glories! Was your card from your grandson for a birthday or special reason? Thanks for visiting! Nancy
HI Annie*S Granny, My salad greens have not grown much over the cold months but hoping when the nice weather starts that they will! Yes, do start a cold frame for next year! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
LOVE Morning Glories here! They grow wild on our land, and last year we transplanted a bunch to grow up a trellis by the house so we could enjoy them more. Sigh.... still did not get any seeds started today. You've definitely got a nice head's start on the growing season. Your lamp is pretty and how special those birthday wishes to your husband must be.
Hi Lisa, Thanks. I am sure your wild Morning Glories are very pretty. Your whole garden is beautiful. I wish I had grow lights or a better place to start seedlings. Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Your salad greens look so pretty! I love having a variety of colors, both for growing and for eating! A handy hubby is a gift indeed!
Hi Megan, Thanks. I sure do appreciate how my hubby helps me! I looked up about your Aerogarden. Pretty neat! Thanks for visiting! Nancy

Hi Debbie, I am not surprised that you like that lamp! I can tell that you love Victorian. Thank you for visiting! Nancy
I wish our snow had melted. I think it will tonight. It is supposed to rain a lot and the temps will be above freezing so I'm guessing it will wash it all away.
Hi Daphne, This time of year does seem to take so long to get to summer! Your snow will soon be gone but then the next question is will we get more! It will soon be April! Thanks for visiting!! Nancy
Hi Nancy, Wow, your plants look really great! I love that you are getting such a great head start on the growing season.
I do hope that you get to feeling better very soon. There is nothing like going to the thrift store and finding an incredible treasure to lighten your spirits and put a smile on your face.
Get well soon; I'll put you in my prayers.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
Hi Connie, Thank you for your sweet note and prayers. I enjoy looking at the things you make on your blog. It snowed here again today. I have to admit it was beautiful tho! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Your cold frame seedlings look great! That lamp looks very much like one my mother has that she inherited from my grandmother (dad's side of the family).
Hi kitsapFG, I hope my cold frame seedlings do as well as your things do!! Our grandmother's time would probably have been the time those lamps were popular? Thanks for visiting! Nancy
It'll be a long time before I can plant anything. I'll probably start some seeds next month, but I did get some summer bulbs potted up to give them a head start.
Thanks for dropping by my 'place'. Love the 'littles' artwork...precious.
Debbie :)
Hi Debbie, I get impatient and have to try to start a few seeds! It amazes me at all the things you accomplish! Thanks for stopping by! Nancy
Hi Nancy, Seeing your first Robin of the season . . . is always a thrill. It doesn't matter how old we get, the sight of our first robin of the season is always an exciting pleasure. Robins, tulips, daffodils and the delightful music of the birds . . . Awwwwwwwwwwww Spring-time :)
Thanks for the sweet comment you left on my blog.
Have a wonderful day.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)

Nice to have so many lettuce up already! I have quite a few sprouts in the basement, but no frame to put them in.
Thanks for stopping by WMG!

I like the birthday card that you made. And love the little ones art drawing for you husbands birthday. that is so so special.
Hi emilysincerely, Thanks. I like to make simple cards. Am not patient to do fancy! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
I AM REALLY IMPRESSED with your cold frame. I have never had one but it totally interests me. Also starting the morning glories. I planted seeds in my yard and by the time they grew - the summer was over.
Hi Bernideen, I really enjoy using my cold frame. I have had it for years and wish I would have made the back higher than the front so that I could have grown some taller things too. Be sure to try one! Hoping my Morning Glorys are successful!!! Thanks for visiting! Come again! Nancy
