I hope to harvest something from these seeds someday! I planted Morning Glory Seeds in the tray on the left and Lemon Basil and Sweet Italian Basil in the tray on the right. I don't have a good place to start seeds in the house but thought I would give it a try! Makes spring come faster, don't you think!
I put orange peels in a jar with white vinegar over them and I have to let them set for a couple of weeks. I'll just add some water and I will have an organic cleaning solution. Well....not quite organic. The oranges weren't organic.
These two doves were sitting on the edge of one of my square foot gardening boxes. They looked so sad!
One of them moved over to the garden gate! I wonder if he or she thought it might be warmer there? Or perhaps mad at the other?
Not much going on here this week! I need to make up some cards and got the rubber stamps out. That is as far as I got! The snow is falling so pretty today. We are suppose to get quite a lot. I don't mind when I can stay in the house and look out at it! Soon gardening season will be here! Soon!!!!!!!

Wow! More snow! Hopefully you'll get to enjoy going outside again, soon! Thanks for reminding me to plant basil! How can I forget that? I think you'll enjoy using your vinegar cleaner! Stay warm! Blessings from Bama!
Hi Bama Girl, What kind of basil do you plant? This is the first time to try lemon basil for me. Winter can't be much longer as this is March! Thanks for stopping by! Nancy
Aww the doves are so cute...they always sound so sad, don't they? I haven't started any seeds, yet, a bit too early for me. Soon...can't wait!
Debbie :)
Hi Debbie, I sure hope my few seeds take off! It is fun to watch the Doves here but in AZ they were a big nuisance! Thanks for visiting!!! Nancy
Beautiful pictures. We have a nice week ahead of us - 50s and low 60s. We will be working outside this weekend I am sure.
I do the orange peels with vinegar as well. It does make a nice cleaner.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy your snow.

GOSH, I just threw out some orange peels today...I will save them next time. Planted carrot, beets, radish and turnip seeds the other day and the sun is back out today, but it is so windy I think I will wait another day or two to plant the romaine ...but I am getting all ready!!
Hi Kathryn, Waste no, want not! lol May as well use those orange peels for something! You have a great start on your planting! Can't wait to eat the fresh produce! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Hi Cheryl, Enjoy your warmer weather for me! Do you mix your orange vinegar half and half with water when you clean? Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Hello Nancy, I just want to thank you for the sweet visit to my blog and the lovely compliment on my tea cup chandelier. In reading your profile, I have to ask if you live near Michigan City? I was born in South Bend and raised (most of my life) in Michigan City.
I moved to Washington state in 1974 and met my husband there in 1975, married in 76 and have been here ever since. I love Washington, but my heart will always be in Indiana. We live in the central high dessert area of the state, I miss the autumn leaves and the summer lighting bugs, for some reason we do not have lighting bugs here.
I looked for a place on your blog to follow and didn't see one. I would love to invite you to follow my blog and I would love to do the same, if you tell how. I have met some wonderful ladies through blogging . . . there is a community of bloggers that love their lives as wives, mothers, and grandmothers, women that love to create warm and cozy homes for their families and women that start prayer chains that wrap around the world, when a fellow sister blogger is in pain.
Thank you for visiting my blog and do come again, my welcome mat is always out.
Connie :)
I heard you were getting snow, winter just does not want to let go!! I bet the orange peel will be a great cleaner and of course the bonus is it will smell great!!
Carol
That orange peel trick looks like a good idea! I'll have to try that sometime! Planting does make Spring come quicker, doesn't it?
Hi Connie, How exciting to meet you as we live about 12 miles from Michigan City. Moved here about 10 years ago. I would love to have you follow my blog and I yours if I only knew how to do that! Could you explain it to this non-tech person what I do? Thanks for visiting and come again! Nancy
Hi Polka Dot Closet! Too bad the orange cleaner has to have me behind it to work! lol Maybe a pleasant smell will make the job easier! Glad you could visit again!! Nancy
Hi Nancy, I just came back to see if you got your follow button working yet. I'll be back to follow when you do. Don't get discouraged . . . it can be tricky . . . you are not alone is trying to learn all the different blogging features. It took me a while before I was happy with my blog, and I'm always learning.
Have a great day.
Connie :)
great cleaner idea,-tfs! have a great sunday:)
Hi lynn, This is the first time for me to try the orange cleaner. Should make the job smell nice! Glad you could come visit! Nancy
I've been procrastinating, I guess, because I've let another year go by and haven't started any seeds indoors. Thought I'd do that today for green peppers and tomatoes, even though we hope to sow the bulk of our garden on Good Friday. That's the timeframe, here in our zone. Just seems, historically, my indoor-started-seeds never make the transition well to being outdoor-plants. Your place is real pretty with the snow! I like Mourning Doves too.... particularly their 'coo'. Have a good day Nancy!
Hi Lisa, It is nice that you can plant outdoors on Good Friday. Summer seems to take forever to get here sometimes. We will not be able to plant much outdoors for awhile but soon our cold weather things. Thanks for visiting! Happy gardening! Nancy
