I finally finished one of the two Valentine table runners that I started quite some time ago! I guess I need more quilting days with my friends. Maybe I will get the other one done by next Valentine's Day!
I quilted this design in the middle.
Pulled three carrots, and big harvest of beans and a cuke! LOL
Free gloves!!! At least they are free after I spend the money on the stamp to mail in the rebate!!!
Tomatoes, cherry and sun gold tomatoes, lettuces, couple cucumbers and a few beans.
Coco and her hair cut!!!!! She hates going. I have to carry her into the building!
Gracie riding her two-wheeler! Look at that pig tail flying!
Gracie and her Daddy came over to go bike riding!
More cukes, beans and blackberries picked today!
Picked all this the other day. Getting a few strawberries! Please excuse this if it appears a little jumbled as had a problem getting it all posted! I guess it goes along with no rain and the woes of a gardener!
Every August there is a Chamber Music Festival in Michigan City, IN which is not that far from us. We were privileged to attend a couple of these concerts! At least I was privileged! Wonderful Gardener doesn't think it was such a privilege but he will do most anything for his FAVORITE wife!!!!

Coco takes to haircuts like my Otto takes to toenail clipping! Annie's not so skittish about her nails, and she's evidently due. She "velcroed" her feet to the throw rug this morning!

Blackberry syrup sounds wonderful. Yum. I spent some time dealing with a friend's plums so I made some syrup too. It is a good way to deal with a lot of fruit.
You're getting a wonderful variety. I have several cabbages left in the garden too. I am afraid to pick more than one at a time because it won't all get eaten!
Are there any large tomatoes on your brandywine plant? Sometimes I find that when I have tomatoes growing like that they put so much energy into growing a few big ones that the rest seem small or normal sized. Maybe not enough nutrition to feed all the big tomatoes.

Mmmm, those blackberries look delicious! And the rest of the harvest looks wonderful too. What a beautiful table runner! I quilted for many years, but have pulled away from it. You may be inspiring me to try some again. I tend to do things in cycles, lol!

Hi Shawn Ann, I think maybe too many tomatoes on the plant could be part of the reason my Brandywine are so small. I made freezer cole slaw out of some of my cabbage but plan to use the last two to make regular cole slaw. Thanks for commenting! Nancy

Is it weird that I think most of what you grew would be great for my kid, if blended together: berries, cukes, greens... he'd love it :-)

Nancy, it wonderful to see all of your harvests. The cabbage looks wonderful. I have sauerkraut in the crock right now. Can't wait to plant cabbage this fall and make more and more. Wow - Gracie is flying on her bike. FUN! and Coco's new hair cut is grand! What a fun quilting & visiting time you had with friends.
