This says it all folks!!! I have to admit I am a fair weather gardener! Too hot and I don't like to garden! Too cold and I don't like to garden! We have been having some pretty hot and humid days! This is on our deck but the heat index felt like 100!
Here are some of the veggies I have been harvesting.
And a picture of more yummy goodies!
I have gotten quite a few green peppers off from my one pepper plant!
This is melon that I cut up and froze for my smoothies. Couldn't resist the 99 cent price at Aldi's! I don't have the room to grow melon.
And we got to help celebrate Melissa's birthday!
Friday we met my friend, Betty in Shipshewana, IN. They have beautiful flowers and a lot of Amish live around there.
A lot of my perennials are done blooming but the rudbeckia are still looking pretty. Are there any others out there that will admit to being fair weather gardeners or should I feel guilty????

Very nice harvests. Count me in the "fair weather" club. Anything over 80° and I would much rather be inside or at least in the shade. It's too bad that most of the delicious summer produce isn't in the club too ;)
I'm a lifetime member of the fair weather gardening club. Though I do use the mornings on hot days to get little things done. I tend to be an early riser and usually at 6:30 in the morning it is in the 60s even if it is 90 during the afternoon.
Hi Nancy! Wow! I didn't know it got that hot in Indiana! I don't garden in the middle of the day; just mornings and evenings. So I guess I am a fair weather gardener, although I've been known to harvest during hot temps! Your harvest look great! Those peppers are amazing! So nice to see that you can garden even in a small space. The flowers are so pretty! I love Rudbeckia! I wished we lived closer to the Amish but it's a four hour drive one way! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama
Beautiful yellow tomatoes! As for weather preferences, I only go outside to take care of the garden in July and August (otherwise inside). But come September I just love being outside!!
Hi Daphne, Glad to hear your a member of the same club although I am not an early morning person! Nancy
Hi Margaret,
Good to hear of others in the Fair Weather Gardening Club! I know the produce is about to end though which isn't so nice. Nancy
Hi Felecia, The hot weather wilts me! Sure will miss these fresh vegetable though! I would love to live next door to the Amish! Nancy
Hi Susie, Thanks! I like temperatures about 75 degrees. We sure have had some humid days this summer! Nancy

Hi lynn, It is only about an hour and a half drive over to Shipshewana for us. I see on the news you have gotten some pretty hot weather. Stay cool. Nancy
Hi, Nancy, I love it when the weather is just right too!! Your veggies always look perfect. The birthday cake looks delicious. Sounds like a fun trip with your friend to the Amish community.
I picked and froze the rest of our beets today. I am so glad you gave me the idea.
Have a great weekend.
:)Vicki
Hi Vicki, Glad you got to freeze your beets. I really enjoy a slice or two in my smoothies! Hope you like them. Nancy
