Here I am a day late posting my Monday Harvest! Better late than never they say!
The garden will soon be history for 2014! I pulled out my one green pepper plant and gave the peppers to our daughter. Still have a few more yellow squash, one zucchini on the vine yet and maybe a few sungold tomatoes if they ripen! A few greens growing in the cold frame.
A few raspberries are still hanging on. Picking a few every other day and the pickings are getting slimmer now. These needed picking the other day so I went out in my winter jacket with two sweatshirts under it and one of the hoods over my head to get the job done. "Wonderful Gardener" has taken down the rain barrel and fountain and put in the garage. Getting ready for the bad winter that some have predicted!!!! Hope their wrong!
We celebrated our youngest son's birthday. How did he grow up so fast with two children of his own now! The two cards were made by the "littles". Homade is best, don't you think!!!!

Very nice "late" harvests - that is quite the haul of sweet peppers from one plant! It must be so nice to be on top of the fall cleanup - I am so behind. And homemade cards are truly the best - they can't be beat!
Hi Margaret, Thanks! On top of it!!! LOL Still trying! Do we ever really get caught up! Nancy
Nancy ... looks like a pretty good harvest for this late in the year. Good that you are getting ready for Winter. We feel like it is still Summer here. Oct. 8th and still running the A/C. Maybe rain tomorrow and hopefully cooler weather.

They do grow up fast don't they? And I'm harvesting even fewer raspberries than you. But I love everyone of them.
Hi Audrey, I am afraid our really nice weather has ended. Have the garden almost put to bed. Enjoy your nice weather for me! Nancy
Hi Daphne, If only we could make time stand still once in awhile and harvest our raspberries forever!! Nancy
Hi Nancy, Homemade is absolutely the best! I am a pen pal with my oldest granddaughter (8 years old) and she decorates the envelopes and makes me smile even before I open them and read the letters. Children are such a joy:) As you know this year has been our first garden. Today I made a roast in the crock-pot and the onions and carrots were both from your garden. Next year we plan on planting potatoes, too. Your garden produce looks lovely . . . we have gotten so much pleasure from gardening. Eating vegetables that are fresh from garden to table and it is great having extra to give away. We love your new country life.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog to visit, it was lovely seeing you and your hubby hugging in my comment list. That is a wonderful photo:)
Have a nice weekend.
Connie :)
Hi Connie, Thank you for such a nice comment! Neat that you pen pal your granddaughter! Glad to hear you are having so much fun using the veggies from your garden! They are the best! Nancy
Homemade is most definitely the best! And I am soooooo jealous of your green peppers! We had none, zip, zero here this year and I re-planted seeds 3 different times. :( Can't believe you are still getting yellow squash too. You've got a green thumb up there!
Hi Lisa, I wish you had lived closer so I could have given you some of those green peppers as we don't use a lot and I still have a lot frozen from last year. All those from one plant. Nancy
Hi Nancy! Two sweatshirts and a jacket? Now? We're still sweating: wearing flip-flops and shorts! So hard to believe the weather is that cold there already! It does sound like ya'll are going to have a cold winter! Yikes! But you're crops are still producing nice harvests! Hope you stay warm! Blessings from Bama!
Hi Felecia, It is not that cold everyday but definitely feeling that fall air! Yep, crops bout done. Gardens almost put to bed! Enjoy your nice weather for me. Nancy
