Kale, Crafts, Sleeping Bags

My big harvest!!!! LOL  I was able to pick some of the small winter Kale.  Wish I had planted more kale now.  It is good in my smoothies.

I did not grow this broccoli.  It is hard to get past the thought of washing off all those little worms!  This was a good price so bought a couple heads.  Froze a little and eating some.

This book was on sale for $3.37!  Need I say more!  Another garden book added to my library even if I did not need it!  Couldn't resist!

Gracie and Cali were over yesterday.  Here they are working hard on their crafts.

Here they are with their finished products.  A Gingerbread house and a Snowman. They are super good at crafts!  Better than their Nana!!!

I finally finished the sleeping bags for the two Barbie dolls that live at my house.  I don't know if the "littles" will enjoy them or not but they are finally done and ready for them to have fun with!!!!

I so know how you feel about the kale - which looks lovely, by the way. So many times I'm just too busy (or lazy) to sow a succession of whatever crop and I almost always end up regretting it later!

Hi Margaret, Maybe we could push each other along to do succession planting!!! Nancy

I know how you feel about the worms. That is why I always grow mine under a row cover. Though I hate row covers, I hate the worms more.

Hi Nancy! The 'littles' are so cute! I love their craft projects! They turned out so pretty! Did they make them from a pattern? I would like to have them, if so. Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama!

Hi Nancy ... glad you are still getting harvest from your garden.
You grands are so lovely and their crafts are really cute. Good job.

Your 'littles' are so cute! And what fun to enjoy them for crafting! Grew broccoli one and only year and the worms did it in for me too! The barbie doll sleeping bags are adorable!

Hi Daphne, I don't have a lot of room for row covers and I like to keep my cabbage covered. Hubby doesn't eat broccoli so for what little I need I grit my teeth and buy it! Nancy

Hi Felecia, Thanks! Their Mom bought the crafts in a kit from Michaels so I don't have a pattern or I would be glad to share! Nancy

Hi Audrey, Thanks! Glad to even get just a little kale! Nancy

Hi Lisa, Thanks! Since hubby doesn't eat broccoli I have decided not to deal with growing broccoli. Now if I can stick to my decision! LOL Nancy

Looks like the children have talent too. You know I only found out the other day that Kale is packed with protein. I grow it too.Love it stir in stir frys.

Your kale looks yummy! I am really missing my garden now. We had broccoli and cheese and steamed cabbage on Nov. 15. The cold weather wiped everything out the next week! Gracie and Cali did a wonderful job on their crafts. They are so cute! And the sleeping bags are great!

Hi Vicki, Thanks! Not sure how much longer I can use my kale but hoping! Sorry you lost all your things to cold weather! Nancy

They are so cute!!! Love your bargain book too. At first I thought it might be a seed catalog, which shows what's on my mind. :)

Hi Leigh, Thanks! The seed catalogs should be coming in soon! Time to start dreaming! Nancy

The sleeping bags are darling! I bet they will love them. I had so much Kale this summer and Fall that I wasted it. I really should start making green smoothies. I always just make fruit ones.

Hi Nancy, your granddaughters are adorable . . . but you don't need me to tell you that, LOL. The photo of Gracie in her ballet costume is so pretty, she looks like a snowflake. You eat so much heather than I do . . . I hope that your good eating habits will rub off on me a little bit. This time of year, I turn into a cookie monster. Love those loafs of bread:)

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
