Spinach, Kale and Parsley! Not a whole lot growing in the garden yet.
I have three of these pots of onions growing in the side yard outside the fence. Happy to see they are doing well. Growing them here so Coco can't eat them. Dogs are not suppose to eat onions.
We are digging raspberry starts for Mike to plant in his garden. It was raining out!
Pretty Chandelier Pear tree blooming by the deck. One of the dwarf Asian pear trees is in bloom too. Sure hope the frost doesn't get my fruit trees this year. Buds on the rest of them.
Beautiful rose! Lucky me!!!!
Coco with the ribbon from the rose tied around her neck. Doesn't this color look good on her! Is she a summer or a winter? LOL
I hope your fruit trees make it. That is one good thing about living close to the ocean. We warm up slower, but we don't get frost as late. It is really good for the blossoms.
I hope the frost doesn't get your trees, too! Everything is at least green and growing there. We are just starting to warm up here. xo Diana
Hi Daphne, We are about 7 miles from Lake Michigan but the weather is up and down. Cooler by the lake here than inland it seems. Nancy
Hi NanaDiana, I think the frost has gotten a few of the blossoms on the one pear tree. The other bear was not in bloom yet. Hoping for the best! Nancy
Hi Nancy ... You garden greens are looking good. Glad you mentioned growing onions in a container because I bought some onions to plant and will not have time to make a spot in the garden for them. I had thought about container planting. Now, I will do that and maybe put some in a sunny planter bed too. Happy gardening.

Hi Audrey, Wish I was growing more things besides a few greens. Patience!! I hope your onions do well in containers. Mine probably don't do as well as in the ground but I do get some. Nancy
Hope you are feeling better.... and congratulations to your husband on his recent award! Methinks Coco is so adorable, she looks good in any colors!
Hi Nancy! Your onions look great! I wished I had planted in a tunnel or something, then I would have had spinach in the cold months. My spinach is coming up nicely in the garden now, at least. It's nice to have raspberry shoots to share! Mine are about dead, for some reason. Pretty rose! Yes, the green ribbon is a good color for Coco! Thanks for sharing! Blessings from Bama!
Hi Lisa, My face is mostly cleared up thankfully. Coco thinks she is adorable too! Nancy
Hi Felecia, Thanks! Glad you are at least getting some spinach now! Stop by next year when my runners come up and you can have some raspberry starts too!!! Nancy
Hi Nancy, Great profile photo!
I love your garden, your white fence is so pretty and you certainly have a green thumb when it comes to vegetables. My peas and lettuce are up and I love watching them grow. The blackberries that I planted died. I don't have good luck with bare root plants, but today I bought some raspberries and so I hope that they will do better. I love the idea of eating from our little acre of land. We call it our farm, even if we don't raise animals, but while I was away on my trip, our backyard neighbors got three goats. They are adorable :) So, I can enjoy them over the fence.
Have a great weekend.
Hi Connie, I do like my white fence but then we had rustic at our last house and I liked that too! I am sorry your blackberries died. Did you get thornless? Hoping you have success with the raspberries! I love watching the miniature goats plays! Enjoy your little homestead! Nancy
Coco can definitely wear those bright, eye-catching colors!
Everything looks really good at your place. Love that you have enough raspberries to share. I'm hoping for my first harvest this year!
Hi Leigh, Thanks! My three raspberry bushes I bought years ago were a great investment!! Good luck on yours! Nancy
Your plants always look so good, Nancy! Can't wait until we are picking greens.
Your Coco is just adorable!
Happy Mother's Day
Hi Vicki, Thanks! When compared to others I don't think my plants are so good!! Grass is always greener over the fence! LOL Nancy
