Scenes from my yard!

Hip Hip Hooray!  Raspberry season has just started.  Picked a few today!

I was so happy to see these on my dill!  But.......

I went out today and all I had was this stub and they were gone!  What happened????????????

Lots of bees have been busy doing what bees do!!  Hopefully pollinating my plants!!  Bunnies in my yard and garden so not too happy about that!

Found this large weed in my raspberry patch!  I have not had enough energy to give my garden all the tender loving care that I like to give it this year.

I had such a hard time getting plants to live in this little strawberry pot so I planted a little ground cover this year and it has really taken off!!!

I do have other colors in my yard besides yellow!  I love this Rose Campeon.

And then there is this peach color lily back of the house.

And this Monarda by the Pergola which I hope will attract the Hummingbirds!

My first big Cleome blooming!

Yellow squash!

Beans, Zucchini and Cucumbers growing in barrels along the fence.

Beans growing in a tote!

Tomatoes in the garden doing well.

Tomatoes in the pails not looking so pretty!!

But one has these little green tomatoes on it and the other one has blossoms.  Maybe there is still hope!  That's it for this blog!  Have a safe July 4th!!!!!

Congrats on the first raspberries! I just laughed when I saw that weed - I've been mulching the paths between the beds and dealing with knee high grass in the process, so I know how you feel! Happy 4th of July, Nancy!

Hi Nancy! So sorry you haven't been feeling well! I hope you feel better soon! Your garden is looking great! All the flowers, and veggies! What a great way to grow things in a small space! My raspberry canes died, so we have none this year! I hope to plant more in the fall. Have a great Fourth! Blessings from Bama!

Hi Audrey, Thanks! Too bad I couldn't take you out on a real tour of the garden, weeds and all! Have a nice 4th! Nancy

Hi Felecia, I am sorry that your raspberry canes died. Try again. Ours have just started to produce this year and I do hope we get as many as previous years as I like to freeze them. Have a nice 4th! Nancy

Hi Nancy,
The birds robins/cardinals.... ate the black swallowtail caterpillars. Maybe one or two or three are hiding from you & the birds.
You have a beautiful garden.

Hi DDD, Thank you for the information. It makes me sad to think the birds ate my caterpillars. It was probably the robins. I like birds but did they have to do that!! Nancy

The birds eat my swallowtails too. At my last house I could get them to grow up, but not here. Too many birds. Though they don't decapitate too many plants at least. I had more trouble with the birds at my last house with that.

Hi Daphne, I did not realize that this happened. Either it has happened before and I didn't realize it or this is the first year. I like my birds but I also would like the swallowtails! Nancy

You have a beautiful garden! Lovely vegetables and beautiful flowers. Your monarda is so pretty. Could the caterpillars have found a place to cocoon?

Hi Lisa, I don't know if the caterpillars could have found a place to cocoon but I guess I am doubtful. That is a nice thought to think though! Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
