Produce and Pie!

I still picked a few beans this past week and one sad looking tomato!!

Still being blessed with raspberries.  That is one crop that we really love and depend on.  A lot goes into the freezer for pies!

My little 4x4 strawberry bed needs redoing but found a few stragglers!  Taste so good with chocolate chips!  LOL

Used my energy Saturday to make "wonderful gardener" a raspberry pie!  Had not done that for quite awhile.  He helps me so much for which I am thankful.

This rose atari scented geranium has done well out on the deck.  I had two scented geraniums at the beginning of summer.  I think the other one was a snowflake scented geranium.  They both were pretty sad looking and I through the snowflake one out.  This one really came back so maybe I should have kept both!!  Oh, well!!!

I can't believe those raspberries. They make my mouth water. Not to mention the raspberry pie! Yum!

Sadly my raspberries are struggling again. I've got to remember to water them and just don't do it often enough. If I do I get tons. If not the little berries shrivel up.

Hi Granny Marigold, Thanks! Yep, those raspberries just keep coming thankfully! Enjoy the fall season! Nancy

Hi Daphne, Yes, the same here it seems. We have had rain lately so that has really helped. It is a trade off. Carry water from the rain barrel or pay the water bill or less berries! Have a great fall day! Nancy

Oh, I wish I was there to help you eat that pie . . . yummy!
Steve and I are on a low carb diet . . . he's doing it because of his diabetes and I'm doing it to support him. We do miss pie:)
He asked me if we were ever going to have pie again . . . I said only when it is someones birthday or we get invited to someones home for dinner and they serve dessert. When he said is that all . . . I told him that if he wanted more pie, then he better make more friends that invite us over, LOL. Just trying to keep my man healthy :)

I envy you that you are still getting veggies out of your garden. We did not have a good year due to too much rain.

Sounds like both of us need to redo our strawberry beds! I would love even a few stragglers like that but no such luck. That geranium looks great - I guess you just never know when plants will get a second wind & surprise you!

Hi Margaret, Sounded like you had a great vacation. We can both start over again with our strawberry beds and hope for the best! Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
