This past week we had lunch with our Kindergarten girl, Cali!
Finished sewing the lap quilt top together. Now to add the batting and back and quilt it!
A close up view of the pattern.
It is after Thanksgiving and time to decorate for Christmas! I put the Christmas quilt and pillow cases I had made on the bed!
I am furbaby-sitting Sophia for a few days. Here I am trying to take a nap with both Sophia and Coco on me! They are both very spoiled furbabies!

Ummm-- Who is babysitting who there in that last picture? lol
That quilt is gorgeous and so is that grand"baby". xo Diana
Hello Nancy, sorry we lost touch...I have been in the blogging 'doldrums' but I'm back now.
Your grand daughter looks so sweet. I love your quilts! I too am looking forward to Christmas but I don't have anything so festive to put on the bed.
I hope you got your rest and the furbabies settled down! It is so nice to cuddle and snooze with furry creatures...
Have a blessed Advent.
My you look comfy! Your quilt is beautiful - do you quilt it yourself or do you send it out to get done? I've often wondered how people that make quilts actually "quilt" the larger ones - by machine or hand.
The quilts are really pretty. Great job. Your gd is a doll! I love snuggling with my babies too.

Your lap quilt is beautiful. Will be nice and cozy once it is quilted.

I love your Christmas quilt and look forward to seeing all your decorations!
Hi NanaDiana, Thanks! What can I say when they are two very spoiled dogs!!! Nancy
Hi Alex, Thanks!! Nice to see you again! I wish you had a blog so I could return your kindness. I am sure your Christmas decorations are festive also! Hope your Christmas season is wonderful. Nancy
Hi Margaret, Thanks! A lot of people send their quilts out to be machine quilted. I have never done that. I am just an amateur quilter. I either hand quilt, tie it like my Mom did or if it is small enough I sometimes machine quilt it simply. My machine won't handle machine quilting a large quilt. Thanks for visiting. Nancy
Hi Cheryl, Thanks! I wanted a lap dog and even though Coco is a cocker she loves to be on our laps when we have our feet up in that recliner! My friend's dog loves to cuddle too. Isn't that what furbabies are for!! Nancy
Hi Audrey, Thanks! I hope I am not forever and a day getting the lap quilt finished! LOL Sometimes I am pretty slow! Nancy
Hi Granny Marigold, Thanks! It seems as I get older that I want to decorate less for Christmas! Or am I just lazy!! Nancy
Nothing better than a nap with a furry friend! :)
Hi Kim, You got that right or two or three! LOL Thanks for stopping by! Nancy
Oops! Sorry I'm late seeing this post. I love your quilt! I especially love the picture of you trying to nap with Sophia and Coco. Reminds me of our little Pooh. He was always on me, or as close as he could get, no matter what I was doing. I sure miss his. You have such a pretty little granddaughter.
Hi Henny Penny, Thanks! Our little furbabies sure become loving little buddies, don't they! I love your Eli! He is beautiful! Nancy
I love that first photo! And the last one too. Your quilt looks absolutely lovely. Well done.
Hi Leigh, Thanks! My little granddaughters are growing up! I think my furbaby is spoiled but so is her guest! Thanks for commenting! Nancy
You Christmas quilt is beautiful, Nancy. I love it. I'm still cutting out squares for a patchwork winter quilt for our bed. The photos are sweet. Love the last one. Everybody's tuckered out. Have a great weekend, and thanks for visiting my blog. By the way, you asked in your reply to my comment on your last post if we use honey. No, we don't. We try to stay away from sweeteners in general. ~ Nancy
