Saw my first robins February 11th! There were four of them sitting in the Chandelier Pear tree by the deck! Spring will soon be here!
The thermometer was registering 30 degrees that day. The sun was shining on it. We have had a few really cold days but it is suppose to warm up the end of next week. Better days ahead!
Coco went to visit the groomer. It is not her favorite thing to do, and I don't think she is very enthused about how clean and nice she looks.
Mom put this silly sweater on me. It is more bother than what it is worth and her enthusiasm for putting it on me didn't last long! If it is cold out I do my business and don't dawdle! I do look kind of cute in it though....... don't you think!
I made zucchini bread again! Will be making more of this as have more grated zucchini in the freezer from the garden. "Wonderful Gardener" doesn't seem to get tired of it. Not yet anyway!
I like muffins for breakfast with some peanut spread on them so made these up today.
My "helper" has a pinched nerve so isn't doing much these days. Boy, I sure do miss his help too!
Happy Valentines Day tomorrow to everyone!
We were engaged 56 years ago today. Time sure flies by!

Wow - congratulations! Time does fly, doesn't it...and it just seems to get quicker as the years pass. And Coco does look so cute - did you make her that little sweater? If your cold days have been anywhere as bad as ours, I'm sure she was glad for that extra layer, even if it was a quick out and in. And I hope hubby feels better soon!
Your bread and muffins look tasty - perfect with tea or coffee.
A Robin sighting this early is a sure sign of an early spring. It's been warmer her and snow melting like crazy, but I expect more will fall before winter loosens its grip.
Hope your "helper" heals quickly.
Hello Margaret, Thanks. No, I did not make Coco's sweater. It was not very expensive and is not very heavy. Hubby has to wait till March 4th to get a steroid shot to hopefully help him a little. Nancy
Hi Tired Teacher, Thanks. My appetite is strange lately so I am eating a lot of muffins! Our snow started falling around 12:30p.m. today. Looks pretty out! Nancy
I'm smiling because my appetite is always kind of strange. DH will eat almost anything but me? not so much.
Congrats on getting engaged 56 years ago. Wow. DH and I will mark our 53 years this year but you've surpassed us. I do hope your hubby feels better soon.
Coco looks really soft and strokeable, after that wash and brush-up!
I hope your hubby feels better soon, and maybe you can celebrate that anniversary out in a few weeks.
Hi Granny Marigold, My appetite has been funny since I have had Lyme disease. Congrats on your 53 years this year too. Becoming more of a rarity these days but when you with the one you love the time goes by too fast! Nancy
Hi Alex, Coco is soft and loveable all the time whether she looks like it or not! LOL That was our engagement anniversary but we will have our wedding anniversary coming up in June. I do hope he gets some relief from the pain soon. Nancy
I'm so glad you left a comment on my blog so that I could stop by and get to know you. I love the name of your blog and see that you are a fellow (former) Michigander.
Your zucchini bread looks so good.
Coco looks warm and cute in her sweater.
Congratulations on your engagement anniversary. I hope your "helper" starts to feel relief soon.
Hi Happy@Home, Thanks! I love making new blogging friends! I didn't realize you were Michigan also? I hope my "helper" feels better soon too as I miss his help! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
Coco is adorable in her sweater! :) I love how they smell after getting groomed. Engaged 56 years ago!! Time really does fly!
Hi Henny Penny, Thanks! We love our Coco and yes, time flies and I don't anymore! Nancy
Congratulations! Fifty-six years is an outstanding accomplishment, especially is this crazy world we live in today. Yes, I think spring is coming. Saw the crocous popping up in the yard on Saturday. It's not been quite quite as cold here as in your neck of the woods, more like the high 40's low 50's. Looking forward to things warming up soon.
Hi Gloriade, Thanks! I need to plant some crocus to bring me cheer this time of year! Won't be that long now until we can be outside playing in the dirt! Nancy
Wow! 56 years, that's amazing! Congratulations! I hope he feels better very soon!!
Hi Nancy,
I'm back to answer the question you asked on my blog. I now live in NC. Have been here since 1999. I was born and raised and lived the first 40 years of my life in Michigan (Livonia, Farmington Hills and Northville). I am familiar with Port Huron, but I have not heard of Au Gres. I will have to look it up on the map.
Coco in her sweater reminds me of a dog my mother-in-law used to have. That dog loved her sweater! She'd wait by the dryer for it when it got washed.
Hi Leigh, I don't think Coco loves her sweater and i certainly don't love putting it on her! I do though when it is bitter cold or she just has had a hair cut and it is cold. I am a lazy mama! Nancy
Coco sure does look like a little sweetheart!
YAY - on the robins. I haven't seen my first yet this season - but it won't be long. I was just thinking about that yesterday.
Tell your hubs to get well soon.
Hi Cheryl, Thanks! We have a very spoiled dog and our selves to blame! Hubs has to wait to hopefully get a shot for a pinched nerve March 4th. Nancy
You are so lucky to have seen the robins. And mid February is a long stretch for me. I just can't wait for spring to get here.
Hi Heidi's Wanderings, Thank you for visiting me!! I think this time of year we all long for warmer weather and to be outside! Nancy
