It was exciting Saturday to see that the hole was dug for our new house! Can't wait!!
It looked like time to collect calendula seeds so did that and some of Rose Campeon.
Some beauty around the apartment grounds.
Space is limited in this apartment but these two plants seem to be doing okay on top of the refrigerator.
This plant sits on top of the antique butter churn in front of the sliding glass doors. I think it needs some of my friend Cheryl's loving care! Thank you for taking the time to visit. Please leave a comment to read while apartment dwelling with Lyme relapse and have a wonderful week!

How exciting! A couple of our past houses were new builds and we watched the entire process intently - hopefully you won't have any delays like we did. New homes around here rarely seem to be finished when they are supposed to.
I'm fairly new to your wonderful blog after your visit to me, and I was happy to see your post today about your new home. We built our house in 2002 and although I love it, it is much too big for just my sweet Hubby and I. We do like our neighborhood though and keep our eyes out for a smaller home in the same area. I'm looking forward to watching your new home appear here. Are you moving to a smaller home too?
Blessings,
Betsy
That is a good, deep hole Nancy! How exciting it must be to know you are going to have a brand new home.Did you (or will you) get to choose some of the colours, tiles etc?
I'm glad the apartment grounds are attractive, that will help you not to miss your garden quite so much. The plants you have seem to have survived the first move okay. How is little Coco taking to things?
Thinking of you, and God bless ~
How excited you must be! Keep us posted on the progress. Best of luck to you!
:)
Hi Margaret, I sure do hope they stay on schedule, the weather cooperates and everything arrives when it is suppose to!! Nancy
Hi Betsy, Yes, the home is somewhat smaller because it does not have a basement. The main issue is the outdoor work and they will take care of all that except for a small courtyard which I can do what I please with that. So glad that you chose to visit again. Nancy
Hi Alex, Yes, the hole does look deep, doesn't it! We did get to choose the flooring, tile, etc. They are cookie cutter houses and any change is charged for! We did add some outlets and a four season room. Coco has been feeling insecure but we try to hold her when it gets too bad. She is a good dog. Her life is not like it use to be where she had a fenced in yard to roam! Nancy
Hi Sue, Thank you! Hoping everything goes smoothly from here on in!! Enjoy your gardens for me. Love seeing your posts of pictures! Nancy
How exciting!!! I can't wait to follow the progress on your new home!!
Hi Mountain Mama, And I can't wait to share progress! (Hopefully it will move right along) I am impatient to be there and get settled!! Thanks for visiting again! Nancy
How exciting to see a beginning of your new place. I look forward to seeing lots of photos as it is built. Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed by my yard I think a small courtyard would suit me fine.
Sorry to hear you're feeling sick. How long do these relapses normally last? Hopefully not long at all!
Hi Nancy,
How exciting to see the first steps in the beginnings of your new home. I am so sorry that your Lyme disease is acting up and will pray it will pass quickly and you can start feeling stronger. Moving can cause a lot of stress which probably hasn't helped, but hopefully you can relax for a few months while you wait for your new home to be ready.
Hi Granny Marigold, I know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed with your yard but I am sure I will miss mine at times but plan to enjoy my courtyard and figuring out what and how to plant some things. Nancy
Hi Gloriade, Thank you for praying! I work a little, rest a little, work a little, rest a little etc.! Nancy
So happy for you that there is a START to the new home. Looks like you are settling in to the apartment well.
Take care.
Hi Cheryl, Thanks for your comment. We are adjusting to apartment living! LOL Nancy
It'll be fun to see your house getting built from the ground up! Thank you for the visit, Nancy!
Hi Margie, Thank you for the return visit! I will be glad to get settled in the new place and be able to sew, etc. Enjoy your week. Nancy
It's funny how no matter where one lives we can find room for the things that really matter. I love the spot for the plants. My momma used to always have plants all over the place, where she could fit them. No matter the size of our home or where it was located (country or city) she has had plants in the house. I was sorry to hear you are dwelling with Lyme relapse, I hope you will be well soon. Enjoy the progress of your new home as you enjoy the simplicity of apartment dwelling. *smile* Sincerely, Mommy of two growing blessings & so much more!
Hi Blessings! Thanks for taking the time to comment! I do like plants and I think certain ones are good for the air in your home. I will enjoy each step of the excitement of building. I just wish I would feel better! Nancy
How exciting. I know about apartment life when your not really ready. Wishing you blessings in your new home.
Hi Grantham Lynn, Thank you for taking the time to visit! Appreciate your blessings for our new home. I can't wait! Nancy
I found your blog through Bernideen's and wish you luck on building your new home. I built a home back in 1980's and found it to be very stressful...so many decisions and afraid of making a mistake. right now we're in a remodel and its not that much fun either. I hope it goes well for you and you dream home is finished soon.
Hi Cathy, Welcome to my little blog. Thank you for visiting! Hoping they get our home built sooner rather than later! Good luck on your remodel! Nancy
Constructing new home is a feeling of utmost pride and contentment. It is one of the greatest achievements of life to own a home. I am glad that you are living this moment. Make sure you do choose reliable and durable services needed for home construction. And, yes your plants are rich green and very beautiful.
Dear Sweet Nancy, forgive me for being so behind on blog hopping and visiting sweet blogging sister like you. I didn't realize that you when building a new house. I just thought you were moving into the apartment, to downsize. This is so exciting . . . Congratulation!
Hi Connie, I can imagine that one might get confused with my life!! LOL Yes, we are temporarily in a very small apartment and anxiously waiting the building of our house. They have started but it has rained lately so that may slow things down. With my lyme and Bob's neuropathy it was time to move somewhere that all the outside work will be done for us. I will have a small fenced in courtyard though which I can do what I want and will try growing some things! They projected the move in date would be about Dec. 15th!! Wish it was sooner but I must develop patience it seems! Nancy
