Trying Again July 30 2019

It has been one thing after another.  Still trying to cope with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and then I had to break my arm!  I was walking in the house trying to get some exercise and went around a corner and down I went.  Here is Sue standing on a chair so I didn't have to bend over much with a trash bag over my head washing my hair!  Where there is a will there is a way!  It was my left arm but I never realized I used my left arm that much.

These are lemon balm leaves I decided to dry in the dehydrator.  I have always just hung up them up to dry before.

Gluten free cookies.  Yummy.  Healthy except for the chocolate chips I had to put in them!

I did three of these embroidered Christmas bulbs (all different).  They were free patterns until the end of July from Joy from Joy Filled Days.  I am not sure what I will decide to do with them yet.  She made hers into a wall hanging.

My Courtyard path is obviously a jungle and needs much work done.  I need to rearrange the tall plants behind the smaller ones.

My cucumbers seemed to have lots of little cukes but are not growing!  So I bought some and made a jar of refrigerator pickles.

My first year attempting to grow amaranth.  I thought the flower would be much prettier.

I just love the color of this lily!  Thank you for visiting and leaving a comment.  I hope the bad gremlin has not visited your house and that you are having a wonderful summer!  Nancy

My goodness. You poor thing. So sorry for the fall and the break. Mend quickly.
All the outdoors looks lovely and it seems you are still keeping somewhat busy.
Take care and please check in more often. We miss you!

First of all . . . It is great to see you back blogging again :) The difference between your last post photo of your courtyard and this post is traumatic, LOL. I love all the color, it looks so pretty and I am sure it brings you much pleasure. I remember the backyard of your old home and how much you loved working in the garden.
Keep thinking positive thoughts and doing all that you can to get your health back . . . you are in my prayers, sweet friend.
Also, thank you for the lovely card, it arrived in last nights mail :)
You are a sweetheart.
Connie :)

Hi Cheryl, Thank you for your sweet comment. We have to just keep putting one foot ahead of the other, don't we! Nancy

Hi Connie, Such a nice comment! You are most welcome for the card! There is so much I need to do in the garden but just can't seem to get it all done. I came down with a tooth infection over the week-end so my jaw and neck are swollen and painful. I was able to get into another dentist and an endodontics office yesterday and he was able to save the tooth. It was one that had a crown. Thanking the Lord I did not have to have it pulled. On an antibiotic and hoping the pain and swelling will soon subside. Thank you for your much needed prayers! You are special. Nancy

Hi savannah, Nice to meet you. Thank you for commenting! I agree homemade is best in most everything. A challenge to keep up to gluten free baking though, don't you think? Nancy

Hi Dianna, Thank you! I am happy to hear you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for leaving a comment! Have a wonderful rest of week. Nancy

Hi Sue, I am glad you liked the lily too. I think that type of lily is so great. Thank you for the comment and especially for your prayers. I got an infection in one of my teeth which had a crown over the week-end and my face and neck are swollen and painful but so thankful they didn't have to pull my tooth and could fix the problem. Now hoping the antibiotic will take the pain and swelling down. You have a wonderful rest of week. Nancy

Oh My Goodness. You are having a streak of bad luck. I'm sorry you broke your arm on top of the Chronic Fatigue and I see from your reply to Sue that you had an infected tooth. I hope things begin to go much more smoothly SOON.
That Lily is gorgeous!!

You have been busy. Sorry about the arm. I hope it heals quickly. I love lemon balm. I need to buy some plants next year. I had some, but for some reason they all died out after 3 years.

Oh no! I had a brace on my arm/hand a few years ago and, like you, became very conscious of how much I used it. Even washing my hands - which I do dozens of times a day - was a challenge! I hope your arm heals up quickly XO

Hi Granny Marigold, Thanks for commenting. Things have not turned around yet. Came into the hospital Wed. afternoon. Still here. The infection spread on my jaw, neck and down my chest. On lots of iv antibiotics. Redness better but still swollen. Enjoy the nice weather and week-end! Nancy

Cozy Thyme Cottage said...

Hi Betsy, Thank you for commenting. I am in the hospital but the redness has gone down. Still praying the swelling will. Thank you for your prayers. My garden is beginning to be a disaster probably! Enjoy your camper. Nancy

Hi Nancy :)) So nice to read a blog post! Oh no, I'm sorry about your arm, but that is QUITE the set up to wash your hair lol! Great going!!! I hope you're feeling okay. Those cookies look yummy!!!

Cozy Thyme Cottage said...

Hi Rain, Those cookies are really yummy for being gluten free. I got a toothache on a Friday and it was so swollen and painful by Monday. Had it taken care of but the infection spread so here I am in the hospital on IV's for it. Thanks for leaving a comment. Nancy

Oh, I'm so sorry you broke your arm. Hope it heals really fast. I'm such a slow poke at reading and commenting on blogs, your arm may be well now. :) Your flowers are so pretty! I planted three or four cucumber seeds in a half barrel this summer and have been so happy how they turned out. I meant to make a jar of refrigerator pickles but keep eating them as fast as grow. Take care Nancy.

Henny Penny, I have not been reading your blog much either and yours is one of my favorites. I was still doing therapy for my arm when I got a blood infection from an abscessed tooth and was in the hospital for five days on IVs. Out now but still on antibiotic pills and not energy whatsoever. Have to set the alarm to take my pill at 12pm and 6am. Thanks for commenting. Nancy

Hi Nancy, I left you a comment over on my blog about Chronic Fatigue. My mom has had this for over 30 years. She was one of the first diagnosed back in the late 80's. I know exactly what you are going through. It is wonderful to see that you are enjoying many hobbies. I know how you have to store up that energy for projects like the ones you shared. My mom too loves hand embroidery and is something that she loves to do with her limited energy levels. Prayers for you and my mom!
