Blooming Peas, Cardinal, Yarrow Blooming, Favorite picture, Chives, Potatoes & Onions

I thought my pea blossoms were so pretty but I will be happy when there are peas to pick and eat!

I climbed up on a chair and took this picture out the kitchen window above the screen.  I love to see the cardinals come to my bird feeder!

My yarrow is blooming!!!!!!

I just love this picture so had to post it.  I think it would be pretty hanging on a wall.

I made up egg salad for lunch with some of my chives cut up in it.  Yummy!

Since I didn't know what I was doing I was so happy to see all eight of the potatoes came up that I had planted!  I am having some health issues so my wonderful gardener weeded them for me today.  He doesn't like to garden but helps me a lot!  I see part of one row is getting too much shade from the flowers and that my rows are not exactly straight!

Happy to see the onions are still growing!  I love looking at the garden.

Your gardens are really looking great! I don't think that I have a single straight row at my home garden. Once those potatoes are big, you will never know the difference.

Hi Robin, Thanks for your encouragement! Seems like everyone's plants are a lot farther along than mine tho. You certainly have a lot to keep up to in your two gardens. Do you have help? Come again. Nancy

No, I don't have any help. Hopefully Sophia, the teenager who tends to the home garden when we are away will be going to the plots with me once school ends. My husband does help in the kitchen and occasionally with canning.

Hi Nancy! ~ Your gardens are absolutely beautiful. I think you are ahead of me in that my peas have not blossomed yet... I'm afraid I might've planted them too late for our hot weather, but thought I'd at least try. Also think your 'lines' are pretty straight! What a nice husband to help like he does. Hope you feel better soon and are back doing what you love.

Your blooming yarrow is beautiful. What fun to see the potatoes come up. Straight rows are over-rated. No straight rows around here. I planted potatoes for the first time. It is time to dig them up. I will get around to it one of these days. Enjoy your day. Emily

I had some delicious peas, that I did not grow, and we ate them uncooked because I was afraid I might over cook them.

I need to make egg salad...think I will tomorrow for lunch!!

Garden is looking good..

Hi Emily, Wow! Your harvesting your potatoes already! I love the yarrow when it blooms but wish it would bloom longer. I have dried it before too. Thanks for stopping by. Nancy

Hi Kathryn, Did you get that egg salad made for lunch?? Peas are so good uncooked straight from the garden! Don't blame you for not cooking those. Thanks for visiting. Nancy

HI Nancy--Thanks for coming by my blog...your garden looks great!

Everyone around here planted early, but I wasn't going to gamble--I've lost too much stuff from planting too early too many times. lol We have a nice long growing season here and I don't even have blooms on my peas yet...but it's okay. lol

Come by my other blog (www.elegantblessings.com) and see some pictures of my stuff--I love that we have the same gardening library!!

Bless you!!

Thank you for having me at your Cozy Thyme Cottage! I always enjoy my visit with your beautiful pictures. I'll have to pose like you and your daughter from now on. LOL I particularly like your fountain area. I love the sound of rushing or trickling water. I hope that you and your gardener has a good weekend! :D

Hi A Kannie, Do you have a lot of gardening books? I just bought Niki Jabbor's book today to add to my gardening library! You are lucky to have a long growing season. Thanks for visiting and I hope you will come again! Nancy

Hi Susan, I am happy that you enjoy my garden pictures. We finally have a camera simple enough for me to use! lol love to hear the fountain water too but it doesn't work as well anymore. We have looked some for a new one but haven't found it yet! So will have to enjoy this one. The birds sure do enjoy drinking and bathing in it! Hope you will visit again! Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
