Coco got me a bird feeder for Mother's Day! It is green and at the top of the picture. My wonderful gardener hung it up today.
Coco thought maybe she could find some seed that had fallen on the ground to eat! It won't have a chance to reseed in the lawn with her around.
This bird house is sitting on top of the strawberry planter with thyme planted in the holes of it. My wonderful gardener put some wood on the bottom of the bird house so that it would not blow off so easily!
I love my Coral Bells. They don't show up very well in this picture but they are starting to bloom now and if I keep them deadheaded will bloom for quite awhile. I received a starter of these from a friend in Michigan when we lived there and brought them here.
Planted Wave Petunias today. They were kinda tall but I loved the color. Hoping they will do okay.
Planted the three tomato plants in the barrels and the green sweet bell peppers in the pails. I read that tomatoes and peppers are enemies but didn't have much choice so hope they do okay. I ran out of energy today!

nice new bird feeder. I decided earlier this week to start hanging a few feeders. I like how you have it on a shepherds hook. That might help keep the squirrels away from it here. I love coral bells. I don't have any here. They are such a pretty flower.
Hi Emily, Come on over and I will give you a starter of Coral Bells! I had a bird at my feeder today so I am sure I will enjoy it. Hope you can get yours gong. Thanks for visiting again! Nancy
Your garden is trully beautiful. I wouldn't worry about peppers and tomatoes together, as long as you don't plant them in the same container you'll be fine.
Tomatoes and peppers are in the same plant family so they're fine together. :-)
Thanks Jenny! Tomatoes are looking pretty sad right now. But it is not from bein near the peppers as they each have their own containers. Hope you will come again. Nancy
Hi Melissa, Thanks for your input. I a a discouraged gardener tonight. My tomato plants looked terribel. Tan spots on leaves and they were looking droopy. I cut a lot of the leaves off and sprayed them with Fung-onil as that is what I had. Don't know if I was suppose to do that so I may never get any tomatoes. Then I accidently snipped the main little stem of the eggplant. I guess some days go like that! Didn't seem like Mom had that many problems gardening! I did see one potato plant peeking through tho! Love any advice you have for me!!! Thanks. Nancy
if the tomatoes are droopy they need more water. did you harden them off before planting? it's possible that they got sunburn. don't worry about sniping leafs - they'll bounce back and will shed them on their own time.
Hi Jenny, Thanks for your input. I think it is probably because I didn't harden them off on all except the cherry tomato one. I don't know about it. I bought them so didn't know if I had to harden those off or not like the ones from seeds. They are still hanging in there! I am hoping. Thanks for visiting. Hope you will come again. Nancy
