Gardening is dangerous indeed!!!! I took a bad fall when I went out to plant my beans and hit my head and arm on the square foot garden box. My wonderful gardener transported me to the emergency room where I had five stitches put over my eye.
The beans did NOT get planted! While I was bleeding and crying my wonderful gardener went out and rescued my broken glasses and then went back out again to find the lense. I INSISTED that he find them rather than take care of me much to his dissatisfaction.
My dear wonderful gardener thinks I should wear my bike helmet when gardening now! lol

Thank goodness you are OK! I think you will be safe now! You are worse then Granny!
Oh, my goodness! You sure did give yourself a shiner. At least the stitches are in your eyebrow, where the scar probably won't even be noticeable!
Oh dear, Nancy! How scary! And ouch! I hope you are feeling a whole lot better! I'm sure you gave your hubby and the rest of your family quite a scare. Gardening. Be careful out there!
Nancy...so sorry about your poor eye...you look at bit swollen...good idea about the helmet...hehehehehehe
Hi Robin, I think Granny and I are about the same age and both grandmas. Could that be the reason? lol Come again! Nancy
Hi Annie' Granny, Only one problem. I will have to draw the other eyebrow lower! lol Come again! Nancy
Hi Nutmeg Gardener, I think I am starting to stress my husband out! lol Thanks for visiting. Nancy
Hi Kathyrn, Thanks for the sympathy! I had a bad bike fall and that is why wegot bike helmets! Glad you stopped by. Nancy
Oh my Nancy! I had to call mom and share your story. She hadn't seen the blog yet. I hope you are feeling OK. Taking a dive like that can make the body sore after the fact. We are thankful it wasn't worse then it could have been. Love the helmet; its a definitely fashion statement. I will praying for you!
Be careful out there and get some rest.

Hi growitathome, I am thankful I did not poke my eye out. I get bored resting and that is part of why I get into so much trouble! Thanks for praying! Come again! Nancy

Oh no! I put you on our Sunday School prayer board but not for this! :D Please do not wrestle with the garden boxes anymore. They will every time. :D Take care of yourself.
Susan
The boxes "win" every time.

Hi Linda, Thanks for the encouragement and for visiting! It is nice meeting you. It looks like you are doing a wonderful work! Come again! Nancy
Nancy, I just saw this post and hope you are feeling better now. What a sweet and caring husband you have. And the bike helmet will definitely be the new garden fashion wear of the season! Take care.
Hi Lisa, Thanks! Got my eye stitches out yesterday but my arm is still pretty scraped looking. Bad place too because it keeps getting bumped. I will be wearing a bandage for awhile! Maybe that can be part of the new look with the helmet! Thanks for visiting! Nancy
OH MY GOSH! I am glad you are alright, but that is quite the accomplishment there. That is a pretty awesome gardening wound. I am not sure who won the fight though - you or the raised bed! yikes! That bike helmet and a couple of knee wrist and elbow pads might not be out of line! Its tough out there. Serious I am so glad you are alright.
Hi Emily, Thanks for your sympathy. Never thought of it but the knee pads might be a good idea!! I am healing okay. Come again! Nancy
