I received more beautiful plants for Mother's Day! This hanging basket of petunias hangs between the pergola and the deck.
And this beautiful plant sits on the front step. I think I am one lucky Mom!
This is my thrift store chair that hubby painted up for me to brighten the front porch! I made up a little pot of impatiens to set on it.
Gracie and Cali gave me this organic green tea. It has little paper bags so you can make it as strong or as weak as you like. Nice big cup too that says Best Nana ever! I enjoy drinking the tea in this cup.
Excuse the messy hose. I made up these three pots for the deck.

Coco didn't forget me on Mother's Day either! She gave me this beautiful two toned pink rose and some special candy! Oh, yes, made me a card also!
I have gotten a start on drying chives. If it ever stops raining long enough I will dry more. Thanks for visiting. Happy Gardening and come again!

I like to purchase my outdoor flowers the week before Mother's Day since the prices are so good. Because it can freeze at night, I put them in the garage and bring them out for some sunshine in the morning. 'Im hoping soon they will be safe outside at night.

Hi Mountain Mama, It is hard not to take up too much of my little veggie gardening space planting flowers! I just cut up my chives and put them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet or something and stir them two or three times till dry. I guess they lose some of their flavor but I add them to egg salad or tuna salad or you can add them to soups. Nancy
Hi Tired Teacher, It is such an iffy time of year for planting flowers but I am always so anxious! If the forecast is not too low for the night temp I am starting to leave them all out. Hope we get no more frosts for the fruit trees also! Nancy
I dry my chives in a dehydrator--takes overnight.
I also freeze a lot of chives--which I prefer. They taste so good in the middle of winter on a baked potato!
I liked the colors your husband painted your chair. All your pots are so pretty. We have been fortunate to have little to no frost since March so I haven't had to worry about my flowers outside. I hope you become totally frost free very soon.

All your flowers are lovely but I especially like the arrangement in the second pic. That is what I'm on the look-out for. I need two. I prefer getting them already arranged because I don't seem to get it right when I try.
I've never tried drying chives but our climate is so mild that chives hardly die down at all in winter.
Coco has very good taste in roses and the candy and card was a nice touch as well.
