I doubt if anyone has a laundry room quite like mine!
The doily at the window Bob's Aunt Eleanor made. The doilies on the rack my Mom made.
The colorful doily on the bottom is another one that Aunt Eleanor made.
This one on the dryer my Mom made for the back of her couch. I do love my doilies!!
The quilt rack in the hallway that Dan made got some quilts hung on it!
I love my hearts but have not found a place to put them so they are hung on the bulletin board behind the bedroom door for now. I don't know why the wall looks blue as it is a beige.
One window treatment in the bedroom is an old tablecloth my Mom crocheted
This is a friendship quilt a dear friend Julie Hayes who has passed away made for me when we left Pt. Huron, MI to go full timing so that friends could sign it. It is very special.
The other window treatment in the bedroom. Another old tablecloth my Mom crocheted.

Such wonderful pieces that will bring memories to you every time you see them! I love doilies too. I have one made by my ex-husbands great aunt. I got rid of the husband, but kept the doily. She was a gifted crafter.

Such sweet pretty doilies and I love the one your mother made for the back of her couch. I would love to have a beautiful old fashioned couch with a doily on the back. Folks used to do that a lot, I think. I'm afraid that would never work in our rough and tough living room with all the animals. I love seeing your new home and things you have added.
I love that you have so many pretty memories out where you can actually SEE them on a day-to-day basis. That wasn't the Julie Hayes that used to blog, was it, that made that quilt? I lost touch with a Julie Hayes that used to blog.

How lovely your new home is!! I agree with you about using or at least displaying our pretty things. I think I have the exact doily as you have, the one on the dryer. I believe that is the pineapple pattern.
The sentimental value in those doilies is probably what makes you like them so much. *smile* It must have taken a lot of quiet time to make those lovely treats for you to enjoy generations later. *smile* I also love the quilt rack and the lovely quilts on there.
