May 19th Harvest and Gardens

Asparagus, spinach, lettuces and one green onion.  The asparagus harvest will soon be over!

Some of my cabbages are doing quite well and some are still small!  I am not getting as much gardening done as I would like as my allergies are very bad this year.

This strawberry bed surprised me with loads of blossoms!  A pleasant surprise indeed!

Look closely and you will see one sweet pepper in the middle of the marigolds!!!  I am trying to discourage the bugs plus make it pretty!

I am finally getting some color in the yard after the seemingly never ending winter we had!

This little bird was either singing his song to me or scolding me good and proper!

Looks like you are going to have lots of strawberries with all those blossoms! Spring allergies are the worst, I hope they get better soon.

I feel for you with the allergies. I'm having a terrible time too. Hopefully the spring season will be over soon. And that strawberry patch look wonderful. Mine is pretty sad right now. I hope they all do better this year than last year.

Everything looks delicious! I had to transplant my asparagus last year, so this year it was still kind of puny. Hopefully I'll get my own asparagus harvest in a year or two.

Hi Julie, I am hoping nothing happens and that we do harvest a lot of strawberries. My hubby loves them! Nancy

Hi Daphne, I hate it when I can't do what I want outdoors because of the allergies! Hope your strawberry patch perks up! Nancy

Hi Nancy! Your garden is looking great! Nice harvests! You'll have lots of strawberries, that is if Coco doesn't get to them first! Blessings from Bama!

Hi Felecia, Thanks! I hope we have lots of strawberries and I don't think Coco can get them unless she knocks the cover off which would be kind of hard. At least I hope so!! Nancy

Your garden looks lovely, especially that strawberry bed! Is it second year for it? Mine were loaded on flower but I'm not sure if we'll get fruit as it was pounded with hail.

Hi Jenny, Sorry about your strawberries! This is the 2nd or 3rd year for ours. I planted them in the spring and took the blooms off like some say to do and then had a good harvest when I did. Nancy

Progress in the Courtyard!

It was so nice to look out my bedroom window this morning and see the Clematis blooming instead of a pile of snow.  It is a rainy day agai...
